We stayed at the Gray Hotel as a family (husband, me and our two sons) in the period from December 28, 2020 to January 6, 2021. We chose the hotel because of its location and high rating. What we experienced during our stay at the hotel I shared with all my friends. Because we couldn't believe that we could experience something like that in hotel of this star category. The first thing that greeted us was the dirty sheets on the extra bed-sofa for children. We thought it was just a misunderstanding. It happens. But in the meantime, in the next few days we found items from previous guests in the room: pacifier lid, lipstick, socks ... The maids did not maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the room. For vacuuming, airing, replenishing hygiene products, I had to mention every time. Bed linen was not changed, so on the fifth day I asked the reception how often they change the bed linen, the answer was 3 days. I asked them to change it, at the end of the day they didn't. Because the receptionist received the information that the bed linen was changed in the morning, which was not true. So they changed it only on the sixth day of our stay. Given the amount of embarrassing situations, I will only briefly list a few things:
We found a cockroach in fritter We found part of the Teflon coating from the pan in the pancake Extremely long wait for any order in the restaurant. Especially during breakfast The difference in the quality of food during breakfast and dinner - probably due to the inexperienced chef who works during breakfast Non-maintenance of parking in front of the hotel: do not clean cars and access them. They don't know exactly where the guest vehicle is in the garage or on the open parking lot, so they once they was searching our car for ten minutes in the garage, while it was standing in front of the hotel. Water problems: water ran out for a short time. And it was never hot enough, when set to hot it would be lukewarm. For the babysitting service, which they listed as something they offer, they could not tell us the price and details related to the person performing the task for three days ("we call some of 2-3 girls"), which did not inspire us with any confidence, so we gave up the same Although the book-regulation of the hotel says that pets are allowed in some cases, we were not allowed to bring our small dog, which weighs only 1,200 kg (York Terrier) and which had all the necessary documentation and equipment. There is no drying room for wet snow ski equipment, nor have they bothered to help us with that. Immaculate, unprofessional, forgetful. When I talked about our experience, it turned out that there were other people who had a similar, extremely negative experience. I would love to compliment the SPA workers at the hotel and couple of waiters from the restaurant as they were the only bright spot in this experience. Kind, professional. I am very sad that my husband lost his necklace with a medallion in a hotel that has, above all, intangible value to him. I must point out that the reception was not interested in helping to find the same. They answered my phone call briefly saying they hadn’t found it. Read moreThis is a great property with the perfect location if you are skiing. Truly a ski in ski out property as it is above the Karaman Greben (#7) lift. So put your skis on and ski down to the lift. This is also the lift used for night skiing at Kopaonik so perfect.||||Kopaonik village is a compact place so walking to the shops and restaurants in the center is not a problem from the Grey hotel.||||The Grey Hotel has just 17 rooms so booking early is imperative. This would be true of all Kopaonik hotels but especially true for the really good ones.||||My room overlooking the slope was very well decorated and had everything that I needed. The minibar had a couple of beers, wine, water, juice, cola, candy bars and chips. The minibar is free and restocked daily. The bath had only a shower but was otherwise nicely appointed. The toiletries provided were very nice. The room had a tv in both the sitting area and the bedroom. The room was very clean.||||The Grey has a underground parking deck that seemed to be heated. The Grey has a ski rental, ski store, and ski storage area. The storage area is below the ground level and you need to go up a long flight of stair to the outside. Knowing this, I think next time I will run the skis up the steps in my street shoes and then put on the ski boots.||||The Grey has a nice breakfast that is served in the Grey Gourmet Restaurant area. I thought ok, I will ask for the birthday cake personally on the reception when we arrive.||On our arrival all were good. Day was fantastic, 4 star hotel was really 4 star level. The whole building, interior design, cleanness... Perfect! We found that ski rent room is on the basement, 20 or so stairs down so it is not so convenient to carry ski equipment up and down and walk in ski boots but ok. One flaw will not spoil the experience...||Room was great! All perfectly clean and with great scent of flowers... Really perfect!||I went to reception desk to order the birthday cake for next morning breakfast. Girl from reception desk was really nice and she organize all in short time!||Breakfast. ||Staff in the restaurant were sooooo slow! 45 minutes for two eggs and waiter arguing with us that all is ok and on time... Really? 45 minutes for breakfast and eggs... No way!||Birthday cake? No birthday cake!||Nobody knows about it! So, no birthday surprise!||Management should really check their staff behavior and way of work! ||At the and, check out, reception desk apologize for bad service and an invitation for us to come again and spend 130€ per night, per person just to make up bad impression they made.
