THEY HAVE STOLEN ME 116 EURO
PREMISE: I reserved a room for 2 nights by Booking where terms and conditions was of not refundable and modifiable reservation.
THE FACT I reserved a room in wrong dates and when I went to the hotel for check-in, at reception, said me that anyway there was a free room for those 2 nights so I was luky.
Ok, I PAIED the other 2 nights (about 150/160 €) and THEN I asked if it was possible to delete the wrong reservations and be refounded.
NO! It was not possible. I explained that I had just paied 150 € instead of previons 116 so there was no reason to not refound me but reply was, once again, NO because terms and conditions was clear.
First of all they said me to write to Booking, as if Booking could decide on Ibis payments, so I wrote to Booking which replied me they would ask to Ibis (obviously).
The day after I ask to talk with the manager to ask the refound but at reception they said me "tomorrow at check-out you will find our manager". Ok at tomorrow.
The last day at checkout the manager was not available and I received the same reply (same compulsive obsessive response) "Manager said that Terms are clear, we do not refound you!".
So, I am angry because:
all over the world that term (of not refoundable reservation) is used to protect hotels against last minute deleting or date change from a low cost period to a high cost period but WAS NOT THIS CASE; is not used to steal money from customers;
I asked to be refound AFTER the payment of other 2 nights so that they had already earned other 150 euro (instead of 116 euro) so that there was no loss for them;
they had other 2 weeks to resell that 2 nights;
I was available to be partially refounded understanding that they had to pay Booking even if they would refound me.
So they had no reasons to not refound me considering the double payment, the fact that I was a guest since 2012 and that they had 2 weeks to resell the room and the possibility to partially refound me.
Raise a NO Wall - in this specific situation - was not a good idea. I do not want to spend money to pay incompetent people salary anymore. I felt robbed and to be in a...
Read moreThis is a decent hotel situated on the edge of the old town. From the central train station or Petrzalka, you can get a bus that drops you off about 150 metres away from the hotel, and on the other side there are trams that take you into the historical centre - or you can walk there.||The lobby is narrow, but the breakfast restaurant on the first floor is a good size and was never crowded the three days I ate there.||My room, on the fourth floor, looked out onto a quiet street and junction. There was the usual open wardrobe, some storage shelves in the unit the TV sat on, a couple of ledges by the bed for additional storage, and a table and chair. No fridge, and only the one bin for trash, in the bathroom.||The bathroom itself was a decent size. The sizeable sink ledge was large enough to place toiletries on.||There was a modest snack on the table, to acknowledge Accor status, and a keepsake magnet, which was a nice touch.||The AC worked well enough to cool things down to about 22 degrees, I would estimate, which was comfortable enough to sleep. The curtains were effective at blocking out all light from the window.||The breakfast buffet was pretty well stocked with a wide range of cold and hot items. One day I even saw a chocolate-semolina pudding on offer, in addition to the more...

Dislikes: The google listing says "Free parking", but it wasn't. It's crazy expensive at 18 euros per night. I just double checked to be sure, and it still shows in Google's "hotel" view as free parking. I am not sure if it's a mistake on part of google or the hotel, but this left a bad taste for sure. I would advise the hotel to get this information fixed. There are 2 parking gates that need to be opened through a card to access the parking (which is totally ok), but the card is unreliable i.e. sometimes it doesn't work. Unfortunately it happened during our first use, so I thought I must be doing something wrong. I spent 10-15 minutes trying to open it and then had to find a way in to the reception (there aren't good signs). After this instance, it worked perfectly fine for the rest of our stay. My advise here is that reception should tell customers that card is sometimes unreliable, and let us know what to do if that happens. Some more bigger signs in the parking would also be nice. The rooms were a bit small, but it was...
