The first claim was fulfilled only by 30 percent - they began to clean up. However, I had other complaints as well that were ignored: I ask for compensation for 3 days without cleaning, taking out the garbage and changing linen and towels in the amount of 50% of the cost for these days. We drove into a very dirty room, the floor was covered with annual dirt and we had to buy a bucket, a rag, detergents and wash the dirty floor for two days - NOBODY came to clean for three days. We met such dirt in the hotel for the first time in 15 years - and we have already been in more than a hundred hotels around the world .. Air conditioners DO NOT WORK so far (already 6 days !!!) no one came to repair them Broken socket in the bathroom The phone is disconnected The room is very dark in the evening The coffee machine does not work Dirty damaged walls No one washes the balcony floor There is a lot of dust left in corners and on surfaces Nobody gave any answer - why was the room given to me without preliminary cleaning? Another problem has also been identified: the shower head does not work well. WIFI keeps falling off Damaged chair on the balcony Broken skirting boards No one has responded to our previous emails...
Read moreDespite a huge and very attractive room at first glance, the more we looked around, there were plaster cracks and leaks all over the place. These were mainly aesthetic problems, though, as the leaks were in corners and out of the way. The big problem we had was that when we went to get in bed, one side of the bed (it was 2 mattresses to make one queen) smelled awful. Both the duvet and the mattress smelled strongly of vomit or some other bodily fluid. It was after midnight but the staff found another mattress and I used the spare blanket, but needless to say, you can't shake that impression and we felt sort of unclean in the otherwise fairly tidy room.
The room itself was huge (their nicest one, they said). We had a kitchen, a living room with a huge leather couch and a big tv, and a separate decent sized bedroom and bathroom. We also had a huge terrace (4 x 7 meters, at least). The location was good, on an attractive street a 8-10 minute walk from the old town. There were a couple of bars and restaurants nearby. Bratislava had it's ups and downs, but unfortunately, the roughshod way this place was put together negated the work they put into making...
Read moreWe arrived late, and had given the wrong flight details for our taxi pick up (arranged by the hotel) but they went the extra mile to sort it out in the background for us so we were oblivious to the problem. That was helpful, and how the hotel operate.
The location was perfect for us. About 5 minutes walk out of the old town, which meant it was quiet. There's also a Tesco near by (Google map it).
The room was spacious, the beds comfy, and there was a large entry hall containing the wardrobe and hooks for coats. The bathroom was clean, and our only criticism was the shower was low down on the wall so we couldn't have a stand up shower and the bath took an age to drain.
One final issue was housekeeping. Occasionally we would notice a cup being replaced, or a bin emptied, but the beds weren't made up or changed at any point. We were fine with that, but others might not be.
All in all, we'd definitely stay again. Comfy, well located, helpful staff and...
