The apartments are very well placed, metres away from st Michael's gate in the middle of the old town.|The building has been nicely renovated, and the apartments have been tastefully decorated.|We had room 110, which is at the front of the building with large triple-aspect windows overlooking the pedestrianised street.|The bed was very comfortable, the large sofa was also comfortable.|The heating worked well (we were there in January) and the room also had a/c.|The bathroom was very nice as was the kitchenette, although we only made hot drinks and didn`t cook.|Some things to note:|An uber from the airport was quick and not expensive.|The apartments' location means that you will be dropped off on the main street, then need to walk down through st Michael's gate to the apartment building, which is around a 150 meter walk down cobbles with suitcases.|The pillows provided are very, very thin. I asked on 3 occasions for additional pillows at reception, to be informed that none were available.|The quality of the bathroom towels left much to be desired, our towels were clean, but threadbare and like the pillows, very thin. |The noise coming from the street and other rooms is a real factor in this building. It is an old stone construction, so some noise is expected, however the late-night/early-morning street noise was significant as was the door and foot traffic noise from other residents. All of this is outside of the control of the building management company, but was disruptive.|We were allowed to request a later checkout at noon, at an additional cost of 12 euros, which was great.|All in all, a really nice place to stay, but noise can...
Read moreLocation is fine and an elevator for the first two floors is definitely an advantage when travelling with suitcases BUT do please note that there are two major issues with this structure: (1) this is an old noble palazzo converted into separate living units. As is customary with these palazzos, there is a big internal courtyard which houses the entrance and reception. If your room is internally facing on to this courtyard, the building's excellent acoustics bring all courtyard noise directly into your room, especially at night, meaning you don't get to sleep till 01.00-02.00AM. Unfortunately, you can hear each drunken swear word and each silly girly giggle as tourists enter the courtyard in order to return to their rooms in the wee hours of the morning. We initially opened the windows as the room was stuffy due to the hot weather but quickly regretted it due to the night time noise (2) please note that the windows of internally facing rooms are all part of a long internal balcony so you will need to keep the curtains drawn or you risk being exposed to the gaze of people peeping into your room as they pass by. Our room was overall OK, bed was comfortable and the shower was clean however the kitchenette lacked sufficient cutlery (just one dinner plate) and crockery (just one knife) so missing pieces had to be requested physically from reception. We weren't keen on having to do that after a long trip as we just wanted a relaxed evening inside but once we found out, we had no choice but to dress again and go down for them. Staff was fine and helpful. Would return again but only as a second choice if nothing...

Which is not a bad thing 😄
We booked a standard apartment 303* which had 1 queen bed and 1 sofa bed. We stayed for 3 nights.
*You can choose the apartment you wish to stay in on Book.com or app. Be very carful and contact the properties for full details.
The hotel’s location falls in the heart of the old town. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Main attractions can be easy reached by foot.
We checked in at 2:00PM. If you are coming from Bratislava train station I recommend taking a Bolt (Uber) to reach the old town gate and resume walking the remaining distance (5min max.). Below is a summary of my stay:
Spacious (Room & Bathroom) Value Clean Modern Design Location Full kitchen set up was provided (Cutlery, cups, mugs, plates, sponge, microwave, etc…)
*Not all rooms are like the pictures (our room was a basic with a carpet floor)
*We booked for an apartment with a city view or inner courtyard view. We got none. Our apartment was on the roof with two windows facing the upwards looking at the sky.
*Due to our room being on the roof. The elevator can only reach the floor below it. So you have to carry your bags up/down the stairs which is a hassle.
*House keeping is available for a fee. Not sure if the toilet paper is free because we brought our own just in case.
Do I recommend it? Yes certainly and especially for families. But be careful which apartment you choose.
Looking forward to coming back again. Bratislava and...
