I rarely write hotel reviews, but I deeply, deeply, deeply regret choosing this one.
Before booking, I checked Google Maps and saw that it’s a 17-minute walk to the city centre. I thought, “If walking takes 17 minutes, public transport must be even faster.” To my surprise, taking public transport actually takes 40 minutes — much longer than walking — and you have to transfer twice to get to the centre.
The location is remote and not easy to find, especially at night. Even though the hotel had available rooms when I arrived, they wouldn’t let me check in early unless I paid an extra €25. Who would want to pay extra just for 2 or 3 more hours in a hotel that barely qualifies as four stars? It’s really more like a three-star hotel.
The hotel is old, and the bathroom is even older — the outdated design means water leaks all over the floor when you take a shower.

The room was so much bigger than we expected, the beds were so comfortable that we would fall asleep straight away, it was so clean and peaceful, we had an amazing view of the castle and there is lots of space for storage. We honestly didn’t want to leave. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay and relax. All the staff were lovely and spoke English and always had a smile on their faces. We want to say a special thanks to the lady at reception (I think her name was Zuzanna) she was so helpful and answered all of our questions and even let us store our bags downstairs in the hotel whilst we were out and about waiting for our flight back home. 10/10 no...

The first morning the cleaner came in to clean and tidy up the room: there were still hair on the floor (though she cleaned...). We also saw that she had just folded the duvets in bed (and underneath we found our pyjamas scrambled). She hadn't even streched the sheets and pillows. In addition, there was a sponge in the kitchenette that was very-very used. The dishwasher had a minimal amount and was diluted with water. Bathroom amenities? Nice joke: liquid hand soap, shower gel and shampoo were everything the same and of poor quality (ah, fortunately it was Azzaro fragrance. Remember that old fashioned men perfume?) Reception is open until late at night and...
