Planet of Peace Fountain — Attraction in Bratislava

October 2019: he planet of peace is a fountain located in front of the Presidential Palace in Bratislava. There is a globe over 21 meters high on the water. It is decorated with images of pigeons - symbols of peace.

One of the most common meeting spots in Bratislava, partly due to the square being an important public transportation hub, but also its location, being close to city centre and the presidential palace which is a place of foreign visits and its nice garden. This fountain is also known as the Peace Fountain because there’s a sphere sculpture in the middle of the fountain with underreliefs of doves. The sculpture is dwarfed by the size of the fountains though. There’s lots of water jets spraying at the sphere, but otherwise, it’s kind of boring. I only went by day and perhaps it looks better at night.
