Food poisoning! We dined at the venue yesterday, and we were 2 families together. I ordered a tartare beef and my friend ordered a steak "medium rare". An important note: 2 of us SHARED BOTH DISHES. While the food tasted ok when eating, after 2-3 hours I felt stomach cramps and sickness which finally induced vomiting. After I recovered a bit I checked with my friend and he also admitted he had diarrhea after having a dinner there. Now it's the second day already after eating in this restaurant and both of us we still have severe comeback food poisoning symptoms. It could not have been any coincidence because we met with my friend only for a dinner at Roston and we parted shorty afterwards (and also we did not have any other meals together). But both of us got exactly the same symptom following the meal. So the poisoning came from either tartare beef or rare steak. So a sober advise for anyone who is thinking of eating raw / undercooked meat here; beware. Either the meat quality or hygiene in the kitchen are seriously...
Read moreIt has a very good atmosphere, the dry-aged beef are presented behind glass walls in the guest area. There are plenty of seats inside, we could get seats for dinner, but it could get quite busy during the weekends. The service is attentive and kind, we received a super fresh baguette complimentary before getting our food. The tomato-pepper soup was surprisingly well balanced both ingredients were easy to taste. My short ribs were great but a little dry so I used my friend's pepper sauce (which tasted great btw). The prices are fair, for the soup, ribs and water I paid 20 euros. The only negative experience was the service time - it took us 2 hours to have the whole dinner, because food was arriving soooo slowly. But generally it was great I would...
Read moreIt was an expensive mistake. I saw the 9.x EUR Tomahawk Steak as cheaper than the other steaks in the menu and didn't notice the 100g below the price until I received the 90.2 EUR bill. By my understanding, the 100g below the price means that the price is per 100g. The cut that I had was reportedly over 900g, so that gets divided by 100 and multiplied by 9.x EUR price. Adding "per" in front of that 100g in the menu might avoid such negative experiences.
The meat was decently cooked and pre-bill service was polite, though a little slow. Thus my bumping it to 2 stars, instead of 1. Had I paid anywhere close to what I was expecting, it would have been 5 total and maybe 4s on service...
