Life Hostel Slovenia — Hotel in Radovljica

Life Hostel is set within a large Yugoslav hotel that has been fully renovated. The hostel is centrally located in Radovljica, which is a relaxing, historic village in a region of Slovenia blessed with beautiful mountains to hike, rivers to float, and lakes to swim.||The hostel has simple but comfortable rooms with en suite bathrooms, TVs and AC units. Bedding and pillows were good quality. The shower had strong pressure and heat.||The staff were consistently friendly and helpful.||Our room (booked as part of a team sports camp) included options for full or half board. The meals were served by the ground floor restaurant, and were hearty and fresh offerings. The restaurant offers a full bar, and outside seating. ||The only drawbacks from my perspective was that the wood bedframes are a bit short (I'm 1.87m), and the curtains could have been thicker to block the morning sunlight. ||For the very reasonable rates, we had a great stay at Life Hostel - and a fantastic vacation...

Overall, pretty good, although some things seem neglected to me. Check-in was quick, we found the keys at the reception desk and took care of the other formalities later. The indoor entrance staircase would deserve a new carpet, the existing one looks ruined and the smell of the space may put you off. The room for one night is survivable, we had ours at the end of the corridor so no noise was heard at all. Breakfast is completely sufficient, nothing essential is missing. We also found a parking space in front of the hotel, so this is fine. You probably shouldn't expect luxury or miracles, but value for money, location and services are OK. Lovely hostel on the top floors of an old hotel. There is no lift to the hostel which might make it tough for people with disabilities, seeing that the hostel is on the 3rd floor. There are 2 terraces and a small kitchen.

The rooms have been renovated and look cozy. The beds are firm and comfortable. There is a TV and air conditioning in the main room.

The bathroom has been updated to. Take quick showers because the boiler is quite small and will go cold rather quickly.
