I paid about €129 for two nights for a double room including breakfast through Agoda.||Access: I would definitely travel to and from here by bus rather than train as the train station is a walk down a steep valley and up a hill while the bus station is not close but is a flat walk. It is ideal if you are traveling by car as it has parking. We did not mind the walk into town through the pleasant residential area. The host was welcoming and spoke excellent English. ||Our room was clean, bright, pleasant and of a reasonable size. The bathroom was very spacious with a shower over a bathtub. There was a safe and minibar. Laundry was available for €1 per kilo. There was a good breakfast spread.||I am so, so happy that I booked into Radovljica rather than Bled. It is a lovely historic town with a few good restaurants with gorgeous views, a wine bar and a great old pub. Bled looked so touristy by comparison and it is very easy to get to Bled and Ljubljana by bus...
Read moreIf you are visiting Lake Bled this is a great place to stay as you are only a 10 minute drive away . There is on site parking which is included . The breakfast area is cozy and had all the basics needed to start your day and was also included . There are several restaurants nearby to choose from for lunch or dinner . The area is super quiet and we enjoyed just sitting on our balcony taking it all in . There is no front desk at this B&B which I was a little leary about but the automated self check in worked great . Once you make your room payment and scan your travelling docs it will provide you with a lock code . I was very impressed with the self check in process . Bedroom and bathroom were spacious and superclean . We really enjoyed our stay at Penzion Kovac and would definately stay there again . I highly...
Read moreRadovljica and Penzion Kovac are a peaceful escape from the crowds in Bled. The inn is quiet and clean, situated in a residential area, and we had a room with a balcony overlooking the distant mountains. The air conditioning worked great (be sure to mention at check in that you want to use the a/c), and we had a restful night on comfortable beds, and a broad selection to choose from at breakfast - the kind owner even made us omelettes to order. Parking is free and on site. The only ding I'll put in this review were the pretty wild temperature fluctuations in the shower water temp. But that would not keep me from staying again, or recommending this place as an excellent alternative...
