We stayed for 2 days in Guesthouse Opara and we were very satisfied. I have nothing bad to say about this accommodation, so I will point out the best things about this place and one important note about the location(read till the end):||- Piran has a big problem with parking spaces, so if you're arriving with a car, I highly recommend booking this accommodation, because they offer private parking ||free of charge||- The rooms looked new and very clean, fresh towels provided||- The terrace is the best thing, very nice chill space with great view||- The owner was really helpful and nice||- There's a breakfast option, extra charge but worth it (7 euro)||||Important note: Location wise, for some people this place might not be so ideal. This guesthouse is not located next to a town square, but on a hill. If you want to go to the town centre, it is about 15 min walk downhill. Of course when you're returning, you have to go up the hill, which can be problematic for some people....
Read moreWe were honestly blown away by how nice the Opara Holiday house was! Our little apartment was pretty much brand new, sparkling clean and very very spacious! The terraced balcony overlooks the sea and there is a little communal kitchen with a bar fridge from where you can buy drinks from - including Opara wines, made by the family that owns the holiday house!
The owner was super nice and friendly. She welcomed us and explained everything we needed to know about the room and gave us directions to get to the city. You have the option to get breakfast made as well and she was able to provide me with gluten free breakfast.
The location of the villa is slightly outside of the old town but if you arrive by car having a private parking spot at the villa is well worth the 10-15 minute walk to town.
Honestly cannot recommend enough -beautiful villa, great location and wonderful...
Read moreMy two friends and I spent four lovely nights here whilst travelling around beautiful Slovenia in July. Firstly, there is not much to do in Piran so we were delighted to be able to relax on the beautiful terrace overlooking the water. The view is simply magnificent. The hosts were exemplary. Rok was a true gent and drove us to the bus station as we had arrived very weary after trekking up the very steep hills in the heat which us Irish people are just not accustomed to! We really appreciated that lift! The cats are amazing! Self-catering was extremely useful and everything you could think of was provided. Our room was beautiful. neat, clean and well serviced. The only thing I would suggest is a few spare pillows. I would highly recommend this guesthouse and can honestly say the owners are the most accommodating, nicest and most genuine people we encountered on our trip....
