Les Mouettes — Hotel in KwaDukuza Local Municipality

False Advertising Warning: Les Mouettes 108 is not a self catering unit! This unit is completely under provisioned, they should use the term “Urban Camping” which would be more accurate because:||- You are under constant CCTV surveillance inside the unit with multiple cameras — this is really disturbing to me and probably illegal! (Hope you enjoyed the show!?)||- No toilet paper!||- No soap, hand soap, dishwashing, washing liquid, nothing;||- No towels, wash cloths or tea towels;||- We had to purchase our own bedding because the duvets smelled awful and the beds are totally worn-out and terribly uncomfortable to sleep in;||- Most kitchen utensils are worn-out and broken, nothing matches, plates where dirty in the cupboards and we had to wash everything we before using it;||- The air conditioner is broken but advertised as a feature;||- Not a single 2x European plug point in sight;||- Sea view is only a few degrees wide, and obscured by trees and buildings, shouldn’t really be advertised as having a sea view;||- Did I mention they’re so cheap that they they remove the toilet paper from the unit?||||We spent over 2500 ZAR provisioning the unit to the same “self catering” standard as every other place we’ve stayed in before. This unit is not an option if you’re flying as you won’t be able to bring anything back that you purchase to actually use the unit.||||Chris & Magriet we’re completely unhelpful as care takers and only good for telling us how “difficult and unpleasant” the owners are. Parson’s letting was also a disappointment with poor communication and management.||||Four full days prior to our departure we offered to pay for another day’s accommodation after realizing our flights were later in the afternoon and wanted to enjoy the unit for the morning and hit the beach. Parsons failed to let the care taker know who came over and gave us a hard time about it and ruining our last day. ||||Rather stay anywhere else in Ballito, this place isn’t especially cheaper but rather considerably more expensive when you factor in the time and money you’ll waste...

Les Mouettes unit 205.......definitely not 5 star. A host that couldn't care at all. A cleaner who walks in and starts cleaning without knocking or asking irrespective if you're preparing breakfast or watching a movie,she just does as she sees fit. Bedding was never changed as they claim on the fifth day. Leaking shower in ensuite. Now here's the catch,the cleaner stained the towels that she had put on the floor for the leaking shower then decided to blame us,but ironically,these towels were "suddenly" stained only on the day we had checked out,never during our 7 days of being there. So they did this Just so that they could replace their OLD STAINED HARD TOWELS. A "Host" who honestly speaking,I don't think she knows what this unit actually looks like. These people are the perfect combination of the blind leading the blind. WHAT A SHAME AND A HUGE REGRET CHOOSING THIS...

Absolutely fabulous! The apartment caters for your every need. Superb everything, the showers are divine if I didn’t want to conserve water I could stayed under the strong jets of water forever. Being at the north end of the complex you have an a great balcony on two sides. There is super bathing beach right in front of the complex. The gardens and pool are beautifully maintained. Andrew was available all the time even though we never needed to call him. There are a wealth of super restaurants close by to satisfy any palate. Be aware though apart from the toilet two toilet rolls supplied on arrival are the only ones you’ll get during your stay so come prepared. The only downside is the ridiculous check out time of 08.00!
