So it was my fiancée birthday, I booked a day before for lunch. I canceled at another well known restaurant where they fire up your food with flames. Reason for cancelation there was no reply to my request and aome bad reviews regarding their service and food.
I emailed Fiamma a day before and they responded quick to my mails and what I needed to know.
Anyway Fiamma grill is situated in Coco de Mer boutique hotel. You enter the hotel to get into Fiamma which is at the bottom near reception. I really loved the atmosphere in the restaurant. As we entered we were greeted and welcomed and taken to our table. You can dine outside or inside. There are no aircons (I could be wrong) from what I have seen and it was really hot outside. But however they have massive Windows which were wide open so you can get a good view of the ocean and there was a beautiful breeze which kept things cool inside.
It was fairly quiet during lunch time. They had enough space for weekday. We had a good waiter who kept checking on us. Especially the manager came regularly to check on us. Friendly service is what I really admire about any restaurant. It makes you feel at home.
So we ordered Pork ribs with teriyaki sauce and a Tomahawk 800g steak. The food arrived 20 - 25 min later. The steak was done medium to Rare which I prefer. It was seasoned well and not too heavily. Ordered a Mushroom sauce to compliment the steak. The steak was massive and flamed grilled which i loved. I did send part of the steak back to cook it till medium due to my fiancée as she preferred it more done as we Share our meals. The waiter had no issues and it was done within a few minutes.
The ribs was absolutely tender and had flavour but however I would have preferred more sauce on the ribs. I felt the sauce was less. But however the ribs and steak was delish.
We had fries and roast veg. The roast veg was nicely done with a bit of crunch and seasoned well. The fries were skinny fries although I prefer a thicker cut. But the fries were fine.
Overall it was a great lunch I would definitely come again. The prices are ok seems reasonable for fine dining when...

Fiamma Grill had been on our radar for sometime, with its promising menu and enticing ambiance.
However our visit to this establishment turned to be far from satisfying.
Our expectations were high as we entered Fiamma Grill, hoping to have a good brunch/lunch experience. Unfortunately the reality fell short as the waiter told us there was no Brunch and we could not order anything for Brunch or Lunch as it was 11am. With nothing in the menu between breakfast and Lunch we had to settle for what they could make in the kitchen.
We decided to give it another go as it was recommended by our Holiday accommodation, we were even given a fiamma grill voucher(which we never got to use) The service was lackluster from the moment we arrived , we were greeted by one of the staff and that was last we saw of her.
We waited for an extended period of time , while other tables that came after us were being attended to. The waitingstaff seemed to pay attention to other tables ( of other races) further adding to our frustration. We decied to leave the premise and met with the Manager on our way out and he thanked us for dinning with them, to our suprise even the manager was not aware of our experience, we made him aware all we got was a lousy sorry.
Regrettably it is difficult to understand why people would prefer Fiamma Grill given...
Read moreI wasn't happy with the type of service we recieved. I was very disappointed at the racism I experienced in terms of the service. There was an Indian lady and a white lady along with some male manager. My friend and I had come for brunch.. And we were paid no attention at all. The Indian lady was serving us and we had to literally call another black guy to call her for us cause she was not attending to us at all. And it was only my friend and I in the restaurant at that time. Two white ladies strolled in. One pushing a stroller with a baby. They both stood up and with the biggest smiles on their faces, greeted the two ladies, offered to place them somewhere of their liking and proceeded to picking up the baby, giving the baby kisses and offering the baby pieces of fruit from the buffet area.. While walking them to their seating area of choice. We got such a cold welcome compared to the two white ladies and I noticed this behavior continuing as more and more people were starting to settle in the restaurant.. I was extremely...
