Homestay Travel Guest House — Hotel in Roodepoort

We booked this Hotel through hotels.com. our booking was supposed to include breakfast, but the hotel declined the service so we ate elsewhere. The Hotel was undergoing an ownership change so there was a lot that needed improvement. We met the new owner who was extremely likable as was the entire staff. The personnel were awesome and worked hard to ensure our comfort. The manager Anita was incredible. ||||Now, our first night the AC unit did not work so it was too hot to get any real sleep. If not for jet lag, we most likely wouldn't have slept at all. The AC unit was fixed the next day, but thermostat didn't work and beeped about every 5 seconds all night long. Another sleepless night. Third night they simply pulled the thermostat of the wall (which ended the beeping, but now the unit did not work properly again with the heat going out and winter decided to step in. Plus the first of 4 power outages (4 days in a row) which then made the emergency light (bright) stay on all night. Without power, no way to charge phones, plug in electrical devices (computer, tablet, curling iron, blow dryer, etc.), so another sleepless night. ||||One might ask why we didn't just move Hotels. We'll, already paid and they have a strict no refund policy which I was in no mood to argue over after loosing the breakfast one. ||||The setting is very nice, conference room excellent, and staff friendly and courteous. The rooms werr always kept extremely clean, but the bed was hard. My wife even after all the misteps said she would stay there again. I might be a bit harder to convince. Perhaps if they invested in a generator for when the government has their rolling power grid failures (power sharing moments), I might consider it. ||||Why the lengthy response? Cause I would...

Homestay guests house !!! Wow when we arrived we were greeted by the lovely manager Anita with the most beautiful smile💯 She immediately made us feel comfortable,she is very kind nd most definitely sweet nd caring person..her personality fits her job profile perfectly. Homestay is beautiful nothing out of place u feel safe nd welcome .. everything needed is in ur rooms..the peacefulness the beautiful serenity, sparkling pool fish pond beautiful,the rooms r spacious nd beautiful everything about homestay is amazing well managed clean smells wonderful..I will recommend this place to everyone friends and family wow it's truly amazing..I must say to the owners thumbs up to u guys for creating such a beautiful peaceful gorgeous outstanding place 💯I'm truly impressed by everything here🙏

I would love to come back soon Gods willing nd definitely spend more time here💖 The staff of homestay is wonderful have smiles on there faces as Anita was showing us around... I highly recommend this beautiful guests house to everyone looking for a home away from home.. promise u will definitely not regret it... Thank u homestay owners , management, nd staff u guys r awesome doing a great job running the place beautiful beyond measures..

I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful your Establishment is, Your Hostess/Manageress Anita is absolutely wonderful/Pleasant/Caring/Mindful, actually ALL the staff at this Establishment; honestly go out of their way to make sure you are as comfortable as you can possibly be.. The staff are respectful and always happy... Lilian is my Suite 1 servicer What a WONDERFUL woman.. I came here for a 2 day stay over a month ago, except for a 1 week vacation to my own home, I have been here since. You know you have a true gem when ALL reviews are amazing The Venue is Clean,Beautiful, Tranquil,Homely, I have fallen in love with this place..
