Hotel du Vin - Boutique Hotel Franschhoek — Hotel in Stellenbosch Local Municipality

We had very nice rooms. And while they were facing a street it was very quiet and even with a nice view into the mountains. The breakfast is fantastic. The service is great and all staff we met is super friendly. The hotel is located at a crossing of the first parallel street to Franschhoek's main road. You don't get the business and noise of the main road but still live very close to the lively center. Arriving at Franschhoek we had a bit of a tough time. Fortunately the Hotel du Vin was recommended to us. Traveling at high season we were glad the hotel had availability. They were very friendly, welcoming and patient. Firstly, the staff were very good and the 2 reception ladies are a credit to the hotel. Secondly, the hotel is ideally placed for walk into town. The pool is small but useable and maintained. Unfortunately, the web-site only shows the best room/s. Our first room was quite good (Room 7) in that it at least had a good AC unit. Room 2 however did not have any AC, only the slowest turning ceiling fan I have seen. Being as temperatures were 30+C it made for uncomfortable hot nights and poor sleep. We would recommend that the hotel is more upfront about the facilities that the rooms have because it was obvious that Rooms 1& 2 (which get the full afternoon sun) were at the bottom end of the range but not shown on...

We stayed for a single night, I had asked for certain things to be placed in the room to surprise and delight my wife, Leana undertook do those things and it was done beautifully and my wife was delighted. Everything about our stay was fantastic, we were lucky enough to stay in the winemakers/honeymoon suite, which was beautiful, and spacious perfectly clean with lots of lovely high quality cosmetic soaps etc||The service throughout was first class particularly from Leana.
