We first met Junaid in 2015 at his Franschhoek Art Gallery on Main Street (now conveniently located in Franschhoek Square, Unit 10) when we made a stunningly beautiful purchase. Due to the size, the work was safely packaged in a custom made wooden crate by his experienced and excellent Team member (Stuart) and sent via Air Cargo to the UK, at a very reasonable price and, after passing through Customs, arrived on time.

We have returned to Junaid's 'Senechal-Senekal Art Gallery' over the years and have been captivated, each time, by the unique level of detail and fabulously authentic style he uses in his beautifully stunning and original Art Works.

Since our first meeting 9 years ago, Junaid has held extremely successful, sell out, International Exhibitions and his fantastic works have become serious Investment pieces - now hanging Worldwide - including the Palaces in Dubai where his intricate and beautiful paintings attracted the attention of those appreciating his likeness and accuracy for Wild Animals, Racing Horses, Abstract and Portrait Art Works. We can completely appreciate and understand why!

Whilst Junaid is now an 'In Demand', highly collectible and very busy Artist, he has remained humble, genuine, friendly and considerate. Refreshingly, despite his considerable International success, you see no arrogance whatsoever! Furthermore, he remembers his clients and treats them well. Often, when some people reach the levels of success he has achieved, they forget those who supported them and purchased their Work in the early days ... this is never the case with Junaid.

During the beautifull South African summer we did spend some days in Franschhoek.

During our walks through the city center our eye caught the gallery of Senechal Senekal.

We were walking straight into the doors and I only focussee on the beautifull paintings on the wall and outside the shop. We were fortunate to meet the artist himself Junaid.

We couldn’t believe the different colours. We have never seen the silver technique as used by Junaid  and it seems that every minute the colours changed and it looked a different painting.

It was incredible to see the level of detail in the different paintings whether it was the South African animals or the ballerinas. The  various paintings of Christiano Ronaldo were like photos. In a word fantastic.

But one painting was immediately our favorite. The Australian koala. You saw the love of the artist for this species in the eyes of the Koala. The story behind every painting is unimaginable.

Ask in the gallery for the stories of the painted animals. Especially  ask about the story of the elephant Sally.

You need to buy, you want to buy. And when you buy, you know for sure that you have something unique in your home. Unique in painting technique, unique in colors and unique in details.

I very nearly walked straight into the glass doors as I stared at all these stunning works of art hanging on the wall!

There is something incredibly unique about Junaid’s paintings, the secret silver technique is what makes his work stand out from the crowd. You need to get up close and personal to really appreciate the effect it has. The way the light catches it at different angels creates a stunning effect depending on the angle you look at it.

This is the kind of art I can see hanging in my own home, they are what I’d call “show stoppers”, because you cannot walk past without your eyes automatically fixing onto it.

The artist himself is as easy to talk to as if you’d known him all your life. He is incredibly humble and down to earth, which is something that really resonates through his work.
