Oakwood Lodge — Hotel in Westdene

I booked but they only had for few days as they were fully booked for all my days that I wanted,I booked the same street for the of the days,they came back and say the person canceled the booking for my room so I can stay,I had to cancel the other booking since they can accommodate me the whole week until I leave. The same say now they have someone that is gonna stay in my room I must move down stairs,the following day they told me no all rooms are fully booked they have a group that is coming they arranged with this other guesthouse I must move there,exhausted with their story after sfter story,I agreed. They didn't even bother to help me with my luggages or even take me to the new guesthouse and introduce me to those people and make sure I was comfortable, my work make me travel a lot ,the only thing I wanted is to go back home. I'm not sure if is the color of my skin that makes them treated me like they did because I see most of the other colors reviews they...

We stayed at Oakwood Lodge while traveling to PE and then again on the way back. Overall everything is very good. Service is friendly and polite. The room we stayed in was very big and clean. Free Wi-Fi helped a lot to get work done whilst in the room. Breakfast was great in the morning and a selection of continental and hot breakfast.

The only negative on the trip down was the people in the other unit drinking and partying until past midnight which wasn’t ideal. On the way back we had an issue with the room either being over-sprayed with air freshener or someone’s cologne bottle broke the night before as the smell was just way to strong.

I have always enjoyed my stay (been there 6 time) and recommended the place to others. After my last stay I don't know if I will go back. Left my jacket in the closet and went back the same day to collect it. The guy from the front desk checked. The hanger was precisely where I told him it would be but it had magically disappeared from the hanger. They Also would or could not accommodate another family that I recommended.... So sad that it all happened. Over all neat and nice. Good food, but fish fingers for breakfast was not mentioned for 2 out of 4 people that didn't like fish or...
