Stereo Café — Restaurant in Westdene

We saw the feature of Stereo Cafe on TV and whilst passing through on a road trip yesterday, starving, we decided to visit. What a disappointment. The eating menu has only 3 items and they are all panini's so as a gluten intolerant individual this wasn't going to work anyway. The seating arrangements were even weirder though. Although the shop was fairly empty, there were only the tiniest 2-seater tables squashed against walls, certainly not suitable for rugby-player sized men. The only decent table was taken and the oversized tables all had 1 person occupying it. We were hangry and in a hurry and not in the mood to share a table so decided to find an alternative lunch spot. What a shame because the coffee would probably...

Rude customer service. Their gate clearly states opening hours 08:00 till 13:00 on a Saturday. I got here at 12:21 to buy some coffee beans nobody acknowledged me at the gate, I eventually got someone to call a staff member, the staff member told me very bluntly that they are closed, I stated that I simply would like to purchase some beans and still staff member said we are closed. Please change your trading hour sign to the actual operating hours for the public to know when you are actually open.

We got there, greeted the someone who could assembly be the owner and a client he was assisting a client… both blatantly ignored us. Moved over to the counter to order and we waited for a bit until someone came from the kitchen to help. The lady who had the card machine later joined and it seemed as though she was annoyed by the traffic 😓 we did what we had to do, ordered our coffee and left. Id give five stars, but service levels could be better.
