CAPPELLO. — Restaurant in Westdene

Went to Capello Bloemfontein on Sunday 15th December to celebrate my friend’s Birthday we got there at around 19:30 and left at around 00:34. When we got there a waiter showed us our table but already we could see that he was not in a good mood. He got us 2 cocktail menus and 1 food menu for a table of 3 people we had to ask for 2 more food menus and one more cocktail menu. We went there to celebrate a birthday so obviously we were going to spend money and enjoy ourselves but our waiter definitely made the evening a horrible one for me and my friends. His tone was very undermining and he only gave great service to the “big baller” tables. At one point my friend had to go get him as he didn’t give us any attention, didn’t come to check up on us and was very rude when he did. We left early cause we were very bored and as we got the bill we decided to give him a low tip for his bad service he then proceeded to scratch out the tip and say “there was honestly no need for you girls to write that amount down, what am I going to do with that amount as it wouldn’t even cover my taxi fare, taxi in the evening are R100 so I’m gonna have to add on to that tip”. The shock on our faces! I have his name just don’t wanna put it out there but please do something about it cause we’ve never been so disrespected ever. I was really disappointed especially on my friend (The Birthday)...

The place is always vibey and fun to be at. They play good music and have nice food.

There are a few things that got me dissatisfied hence my rating:

The place is often crowded, and maybe that's the reason the waiters take time to serve their tables.. Our waiter took forever to attend to our orders, we often had to look out for him or call him to attend to us.

Ordering just a drink was a mission!!!

When it was time to settle the bill, there was a mix up with items that we didn't order at all and it took even longer to settle the bill.

The ladies' restrooms are often a mess and the doors don't even work.

Unimpressive at best. Drinks priced very nicely: but bathrooms were stuffy,squashed and unkempt. A mirror placed between male and female bathrooms just adds to the loo traffic! Gets very full and ventilation is an issue. Covid protocols none existent, Maybe for the hardcore clubber who doesn't care much about their surrounds, but I left soon after my first overpriced orange juice served without ice despite asking for it, waitresses a tad rude, I wouldn't go or recommend a visit for anyone above...
