Exceptionally bad service. My experience here at this Milky Lane was incredibly awful! My family and I arrived here just before 8pm. After ordering just two waffles, I was told that we can find a seat and someone will bring them to us. We sat down at the cleanest table we could find (this table had used tissue and dribbles of ice cream on it. The surface was also quite sticky.)
Fast forward 20 minutes and a long drawn out wait in a smelly sweat filled environment, we still had not received our order so I went to the attendant at the till to find out what happened to the order. All she said was, “we will bring it when its ready”. The store was considerably hot inside so I asked if they could please turn the air conditioning on, she simply said “its not working” and turned around to say to her colleague. I understand that sometimes AC’s can stop working and that its also quite hot for the staff members, but the courteous thing to do would have been to at the very least apologize for it.
Moving forward, I then asked if I could get a refund, I was told by the attendant that she needed to get a supervisor to process the refund, a few minutes later after walking around with some containers, she went on to call someone from the restaurant next door.
Another 5 – 10 minutes later, I raised my voice and asked if someone could please get a supervisor to process my refund. A few minutes later, someone comes over to do it, she did not look at me or apologize for the inconvenience. Simply just dropped the money in my hand and turned around.
To make matters worse, while standing there, I saw flies sit on the waffle mixture that spilled over near the waffle machine. Immediately, I knew I made the right decision to cancel my order.
During my wait, a customer asked if he could pay for his order and the attendant rudely said “ Ya, go sit down you can pay later”. Another lady waited almost 20 minutes for 4 ice cream cones and eventually left without the 4th one because the attendant couldn’t remember how many she ordered and then tried to look for the order slips. Read moreI Ordered on mr d and requested for no toppings on the ice cream as I needed plain due to a tooth procedure and they dnt have this option available on the app,I made notes on my order as well as call in and advise them.Upon arrival of the order,I was horrified to find that all ice cream had toppings on them,I called the store to speak to the manager and a cashier answered portraying to be the manager,she said that the ice cream is pre-made and stored in the freezer for retail,I asked to speak to the owner as I did send a note and called instore only to be addressed by the manager on duty,she said the same thing,I told her to please send just a plain tub and collect the rest but she asked me to call Mr D and complain,I even left my number with her and asked for the owners number as I am in alot of pain and just need a little plain ice cream,she just cut the call,we asbcustomers must pay our money to the store and be made an idiot on top as to spend airtime on numerous calls,where the employees don't care about their clients,very unprofessional,how can franchise owners employ such workers,I will not be purchasing from this establishment and will not recommend it to anyone,I am in alot of pain and trying to get someone who can assist and failed to do so.milky lane florida road staff,please dnt mistreat customers as we support yourls establishment and assist in paying yourls salaries,it doesn't mean that the store is not yours then it gives u a right to treat customers like dirt,not on,totally...
Read moreMilky Lane has always been a long standing favourite in our family. As children we would look forward to the Milky lane experience of eating our goodies in store. Unfortunately, my last 2 visits to the Florida Road branch was very disappointing.
The standards have dropped considerably. The store looked and felt filthy. Residue on the tables and chairs, grime and paper on the unswept floors.
After seating ourselves, we waited about 10 minutes for someone to come wipe our table and then another 15 minutes befire we received menus. We placed our order and after repeating our order my son wanted to add on a drink and the waiter said 'you know we closing just now'. It came accross as though he didn't really want to make anything else and I thought it rather rude. We dint order the drink.
When our waffles came, my son went to get a waffle syrup stand and again, it wasn't clean, it was sticky and 2 of the syrup bottles were empty.
