On the plus side, the room was modern and decently sized, with excellent housekeeping service and a comfortable bed. The hotel also has a great location. Unfortunately, overall, it left a lot to be desired and we had various issues throughout our stay.

  1. Due to an overnight flight, we arrived at around 8:30 a.m. I was feeling miserable, because I was ill and hadn‘t slept. They said they could not accommodate an early check-in because they were fully booked, which is understandable. However, they were also not able to offer any kind of suggestion whatsoever regarding where we could go to rest (such as a relaxation area in the on-site spa) or spend time until check-in, and were generally unhelpful and unconcerned in simply saying, “come back later.” We had to book another hotel just so I could lie down for a few hours.

  2. When we returned later for check-in, the staff member checking us in whispered throughout the whole process. Combined with less-than-confident English, it was very hard to understand her, and my husband had to lean over the desk, turn his head, and ask for things to be repeated. He was also asked to sign various agreements in Korean without any explanation of what they were. When asked, she could not explain but agreed with my husband’s suggestions (privacy policy, etc.).

  3. The room had various stains across the walls, and there was mold on the ceiling and walls of the shower. We also had an issue with an overhead light in the entryway that would not shut off, so we had to call someone at midnight before we could go to bed. To their credit, staff members came quickly, turned it off for the night, and then replaced it while we were out the following day.

  4. The breakfast buffets are only open until 10 a.m. Our included breakfast was in the Paradise Lounge, a much smaller facility than the main buffet restaurant. We arrived at 9:50 on the first day in the full knowledge that we could only quickly take some things from the buffet and then sit down to eat, but were made to feel unwelcome. The attendant removed the names of items just before 10:00, just as my husband was walking up to them. Around 10:20, we were told to leave because they had to “clean the whole room.“ This has never happened to me at any other hotel, be it 3 stars or 5. Every other hotel I’ve stayed in has let me sit and finish my breakfast. They could have just cleaned the buffet first. There were also few veggie options at breakfast and no lactose free milk or milk alternatives and no offer to get any when I asked (I‘m lactose intolerant). Since I was made to feel so unwelcome and didn‘t feel like getting up at 8 to have breakfast on my honeymoon (and while I wasn‘t feeling well), I did not return to breakfast. I was hoping to enjoy a room service breakfast instead, but since that also ends at 10 a.m., I missed it completely.

  5. The room service menu has exactly one veggie item on it (egg mayo sandwich) and no vegan options. The minestrone soup my husband ordered for me when I wasn‘t feeling good is not veggie (chicken broth) and has bacon in it, which was disclosed in the Korean text but not the English translation. When he pointed this out, they comped the soup and also made me a veggie minestrone and salad with egg and tofu the next day, which was a nice gesture. I would have still appreciated it if there were more options for me, and I‘m sure there are other vegetarian/vegan travelers.

Overall, this hotel just did not live up to a five-star standard and was in some ways even less accommodating than more basic hotels I‘ve stayed in. I would look for other options in the...

We spent four nights in this low end five star property first impressions are of a huge sprawling hotel the initial greeting from the door personnel was cool to say the least and not very welcoming. Checkin and out was better being friendly and efficient as was baggage handling although they wanted to charge 55000 Korean won per hour for a late checkout!!!!! .Self parking is complimentary but the spaces are very tight even with all vehicles being within the lines we had to struggle to get out of the car without hitting a neighbouring vehicle. Our room (1202) , a corner room was a reasonable size with two balconies and a very attractive view of the ocean , but was very dated -(the hotel has built an annex with apparently better rooms possibly that are more modern) - I wish we had known that prior to booking the main building room .That aside our bathroom reflected the room , it was smallish and very old fashioned with a horrible shower curtain instead of a full screen or better still a cubicle , and poor water pressure from a shower handle located in the bath which could be attached to the wall but was too low for someone of my height (6 .1 ) toiletries are pump action and adequate but some items are on a mini bar system and chargeable such as toothbrushes. The bed was comfortable but there are not any power sockets near the bed in fact there is a real shortage of sockets in the room I disconnected a side light too change my laptop and phone . Housekeeping was adequate the room was very clean linen was bright white and fresh , towels also but are only medium quality as are the robes . There is a breakfast option which we didn’t take advantage of as reports were not very good and during a Quick Look in the restaurant it didn’t seem very appealing . Externally there are some very nice facilities a pool ,, which for reasons of management convenience or economy of staffing they clean and close mid afternoon rather than cleaning early morning when guests are asleep as other hotels do . There are also complimentary natural hot springs complex on ‘the property and a superb gym . My wife and I are fortunate that we travel |Extensively , approximately six months of the year spent overseas ,generally staying in 5 star accommodation this property definitely is sub standard from the room point of view but what you are buying is primarily the location on a nice beach , the view , the hot springs and proximity to the main streets with shops , restaurants and fountain and flower displays. In short for the price point it’s not a bad deal but we still wouldn’t come back to...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Paradise Hotel in Busan, and I must say that it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment I stepped into the hotel until the day of my departure, every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations.

First and foremost, the hotel's location is simply fantastic. Situated in the heart of Busan, it offers breathtaking views of the city and convenient access to popular attractions. Whether I was exploring the vibrant streets of Haeundae or enjoying a relaxing day at the nearby beach, I was always grateful for the hotel's prime location.

Upon entering the hotel, I was immediately impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff members were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout my stay. They were knowledgeable about the local area and provided excellent recommendations for places to visit and dine.

The room I stayed in was beautifully appointed, spacious, and meticulously clean. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the room's design, from the comfortable bedding to the well-appointed bathroom. The stunning view from my room's window added an extra touch of luxury, allowing me to enjoy the picturesque cityscape.

One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's dining options. The restaurants on-site offered a diverse range of cuisines, each prepared with the utmost care and quality. From traditional Korean dishes bursting with flavor to international delicacies, there was something to please every palate. The attentive staff made dining a truly enjoyable experience, ensuring that all my requests were met promptly and with a smile.

Additionally, the hotel's amenities were top-notch. The fitness center was well-equipped with modern machines and offered a great space for a workout. The spa facilities provided a haven of relaxation, allowing me to unwind and rejuvenate after a long day of exploration. The attention to detail in these areas further enhanced my overall experience at Paradise Hotel.

In conclusion, my stay at Paradise Hotel in Busan was exceptional in every way. The hotel's prime location, impeccable service, and luxurious accommodations contributed to a memorable and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Busan, as it offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality. I look forward to returning to Paradise Hotel on my next visit to this...

The highlight of the hotel was definitely the Cimer hot springs! We flew in without packing any swimsuits and bought new sets just to get into the pools. The view from the pools is breathtaking (as it is situated right next to Haeundae beach) and totally worth the extra spends! We were told that prior to COVID, they had a bathing suit rental service as well. There’s also a food alley/street nearby as well, which were as bustling as Myeongdong (pre-COVID times). P/S: remember to take the shortcut through the back door from the hotel to get to the food alley faster! ;) Relative to other 5-star hotels in Korea, the Staff here had trouble understanding our request despite using Google Translate. Some useful terms to know relative to what they’re known locally in English: - Foam Pillow = Latex Pillow - Water Kettle = Coffee Pot - Fridge = Ice Box Another highlight for me was the TV is a smart TV! Having the option to turn on YouTube or Netflix or Disney+ for English content was definitely a boon for me, especially when all the standard cable channels are in Korean!
