I was very disappointed. We booked for just 1 night to stay one more day in Jeju and chose this hotel simply because of the heated floor called 온돌. This is an unique type of Korean traditional accommodation that allows the family get relieved from the fear if their kids accidentally fell from the bed while sleeping as this options gives comfortable and warm sleeping on the floor. However, the maintenance of this hotel may not be appropriate: The bed sheets are so thin that impress me to write give warning you all who are reading with a history of backbone injuries or disc rupture before; and heating is not working even that drops the temperature during the midnight due to the weather outside makes every of our family member shivered for hours. We were like a family of rats hibernating under the ground by holding and hugging each other (excitingly enjoyable!! Thanks to that). Even without mentioning the quality of room inside that is with tearing wall papers and old furnitures, the major reason makes me decided to write this review was due to the front desk with inappropriate attitudes. Our family even didnt mention with anger or raise voices, but very calmly to mention the services needed for improvement regarding the heated floor. To that, the answer we have gotten was simply “well you should ve told us”. Thank you for reminding me of that. It was the midnight when we realized that and I couldn’t even get out of the bed sheet but I should have reached out to the front desk. Anyway, beside the disappointment, I just wanted to let you know the need of investment for the units for...
Read moreBooking of this hotel - 22nd to 24th December 2023 - was made at the very last minute when our flight to Busan was cancelled due to inundated snowfalls. Since we were stranded in this lovely island of Jeju for another 2 days, I might as well made the best out of it. And I was glad that I booked this hotel.
Didn’t manage to take photos of the hotel and room as we were overwhelmed and exhausted that...
Read moreWe were looking for a quick night stayover near the Grand Hyatt due to flight cancellation and this is indeed a perfect lower budget (within 100k KRW) hotel with excellent location. We read reviews to avoid carpeted room types (we cannot confirm whether their carpeted room types still have any issues, they may not). So, we tried the Korean style room hoping it would have given a similar comfort as the Japanese room we tried when we were in Japan. The facility and room are well maintained and clean, my family and I were totally ok with the hotel. The only negative feedback would be the futon thickness is quite thin (maybe Korean style is not similar to Japanese style) so it wasn't an easy night to sleep for me. I did ask for the second set of futon hoping it would work, but I think I would need a 3rd set next time. The hotel was quite nice to allow complimentary second set (but not sure they would for the 3rd set). Note that they do charge 15,000 KRW for a child futon, which I think was fair although I did not know there would be an extra charge for a child's futon. Total room rate was 87,000 KRW (inclusive of the 15,000 KRW child charge). Had I known of the extra child charge, I would have tried a 3-single beds room type next time as it costs only 95,000 KRW. The location has a standalone Starbucks shop next to the lobby area and there are many great nearby restaurants within...
