I was very disappointed. We booked for just 1 night to stay one more day in Jeju and chose this hotel simply because of the heated floor called 온돌. This is an unique type of Korean traditional accommodation that allows the family get relieved from the fear if their kids accidentally fell from the bed while sleeping as this options gives comfortable and warm sleeping on the floor. However, the maintenance of this hotel may not be appropriate: The bed sheets are so thin that impress me to write give warning you all who are reading with a history of backbone injuries or disc rupture before; and heating is not working even that drops the temperature during the midnight due to the weather outside makes every of our family member shivered for hours. We were like a family of rats hibernating under the ground by holding and hugging each other (excitingly enjoyable!! Thanks to that). Even without mentioning the quality of room inside that is with tearing wall papers and old furnitures, the major reason makes me decided to write this review was due to the front desk with inappropriate attitudes. Our family even didnt mention with anger or raise voices, but very calmly to mention the services needed for improvement regarding the heated floor. To that, the answer we have gotten was simply “well you should ve told us”. Thank you for reminding me of that. It was the midnight when we realized that and I couldn’t even get out of the bed sheet but I should have reached out to the front desk. Anyway, beside the disappointment, I just wanted to let you know the need of investment for the units for...

Booking of this hotel - 22nd to 24th December 2023 - was made at the very last minute when our flight to Busan was cancelled due to inundated snowfalls. Since we were stranded in this lovely island of Jeju for another 2 days, I might as well made the best out of it. And I was glad that I booked this hotel.

  1. They have connecting rooms so that our kids didn’t have to sleep separately from us. With extra bathroom and definitely more spacious than our previous hotel, we didn’t have to fight for toilet everytime and moving around was definitely easier.
  2. Located just few minutes from Jeju International Airport, this hotel is located along the main road leading towards the airport. Lotte Duty Free is within walking distance; many nice restaurants nearby the hotel (I had one of the best pork ribs stew and marinated crabs); a rather big convenience store GS25 right next to the hotel; as well as a lovely cafe directly opposite the hotel - spot the green facade of Flat 4 Coffee & one hands on oppa manning the counter.
  3. Starbucks on the ground floor (lobby) in the same building that opens early in the morning, perfect for us to catch a quick breakfast before flying off to Seoul. Coffee however, left too much to be desired.. still hopeless as I remember!
  4. Staffs were trying their best to assist us. The receptionist even helped me to call for Jumbo taxi to the airport on our last day!

Didn’t manage to take photos of the hotel and room as we were overwhelmed and exhausted that...

We were looking for a quick night stayover near the Grand Hyatt due to flight cancellation and this is indeed a perfect lower budget (within 100k KRW) hotel with excellent location. We read reviews to avoid carpeted room types (we cannot confirm whether their carpeted room types still have any issues, they may not). So, we tried the Korean style room hoping it would have given a similar comfort as the Japanese room we tried when we were in Japan. The facility and room are well maintained and clean, my family and I were totally ok with the hotel. The only negative feedback would be the futon thickness is quite thin (maybe Korean style is not similar to Japanese style) so it wasn't an easy night to sleep for me. I did ask for the second set of futon hoping it would work, but I think I would need a 3rd set next time. The hotel was quite nice to allow complimentary second set (but not sure they would for the 3rd set). Note that they do charge 15,000 KRW for a child futon, which I think was fair although I did not know there would be an extra charge for a child's futon. Total room rate was 87,000 KRW (inclusive of the 15,000 KRW child charge). Had I known of the extra child charge, I would have tried a 3-single beds room type next time as it costs only 95,000 KRW. The location has a standalone Starbucks shop next to the lobby area and there are many great nearby restaurants within...

We stayed 3 nights. Location was the main factor as its in front of a bus station that goes everywhere. Airport limo stop is not too far either (Halla Hospital) but be prepared to run if it rains. The room was decent. Nothing more to offer than the room itself. No bidet in the toilet. Room service, even though we did not request it (we turned on the DND sign) left us with cleanish towels and water bottles. Blankets and towels were a bit scratchy after use and we suspect its not well cleaned. The receptionist mostly can't handle complex requests in English like booking a van for us at a specific time without relying on a translation app. Initially was very worried when the receptionist on the day we were supposed to leave for the airport did not know what happened to our van but the manager sent us off after managing to confirm the van will arrive. Starbucks and a convenience store attached below. 20 minutes from the airport. Gym is bare and the business centre is under renovation

Avoid at all costs. I would expect a hotel in a developing nation to have better living conditions than this, let alone in South Korea! The “hotel” has falsely advertised that they have air conditioning in each room (we’ve come late April). We were told that they only had heating upon arrival but did not think much of it, however the room is now 27.5 degrees and it’s 3am in the morning. We’re on the 15th floor and were instructed to open the windows by reception, however that has welcomed in a swarm of mosquitoes - to which I am allergic to (skeeters syndrome). We rang reception at 3am requesting a standing fan and we’re told that they were “sold out”. We stressed to the receptionist that one of us has a mosquito allergy only to be told to “open the window less”. Thankfully, we have since been able to get a fan. I have stayed in Best Westerns globally so thought it safe to do so here in Jeju. Sadly, I am full of regret.
