Lotte Duty Free - Jeju Store — Local services in Jeju

Parking is a nightmare for foreign tourists. They require a Korean credit card for carpark payment. You are stuck if you don't have a Korean credit card.

We only managed to get out when a nice korean lady alighted to help us.

Customer service totally can't solve the issue other than asking if we had a korean credit card (which we didn't), whether there was a Korean with us (obviously not), and whether we had korean won (which we said we did) but they did not offer solution on how we can pay by cash.

We reversed out from the gantry to allow other vehicles to pass first (as there's only one way to exit and there was a long queue), and when we tried again, we spoke to another customer service officer who asked exactly the same question but again offer no solution on how we can pay by cash.

I'm not sure if their customer service are located at the building or offsite, but no one was available on site to assist with this.

Perhaps a notice needs to be put up (in English) to let drivers who does not have Korean credit card know how payment can be made.

Don’t waste your time coming here. They refuse to let you buy duty free goods even when you’re a foreign tourist, the Information Desk can’t explain what their policy is or why they first told us we could buy something and then changed their mind, and the service is just subpar across the board between the shops and the hotel. Even if they could get their stuff together and provide the basic services expected at a Duty Free store, most of the luxury brands have exited so there’s nothing left to purchase anyway. Better off just eating some Korean BBQ and thanking your lucky stars you didn’t lose an hour of your life coming to this place that you’ll never get back.

In summary, 0 stars and 10/10 would never come again...
