I recently had the pleasure of visiting this bar in Jeju, and it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped by a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a perfect evening. The dim lighting created a cozy ambiance, while the carefully curated music made for a relaxing backdrop that I could enjoy throughout my visit.
The true highlight, however, was the incredible cocktail selection. The creativity behind each drink is nothing short of impressive. Every cocktail is a work of art, showcasing a delightful harmony of flavors that tantalizes the palate. Whether you’re in the mood for something refreshing or a bit more daring, the bartenders’ knowledge and flair assured that each sip was an adventure.
To complement these exquisite cocktails, each desserts offered is perfectly crafted, boasting intriguing tastes and textures that elevate the overall experience. The combination of sweet treats with the beautifully balanced cocktails creates a harmonious pairing that left me longing for more.
Let's not forget about the friendliness of the bartenders/owners. Their passion for mixology shines through in both their craft and their engagement with patrons. They were warm and welcoming, always ready to offer recommendations and giving introduction of each of their crafts, making me feel right at home.
In conclusion, Fortyfive is a hidden gem in Jeju that combines innovative cocktails, delectable desserts, and an inviting atmosphere with exceptional service with...
Read moreThis is the most amazing cocktail bar we've been to in Korea, even surpassing our experience in Seoul.
The drinks are innovative, smart and really good. The concept is to rotate their signature their menu every 3 months, akin to the seasons. Each signature drink (about 3) comes with a small dessert on the side that compliments the drinks. These were perfectly crafted, and the desserts together with the drink help to tell a story. For example we had the Lazy Holiday, which utilised elements of milk, kellogs, coffee, in the drink or dessert to remind you of having a simple bowl of cereal and grabbing coffee as you sit by the sea (the dessert used milk foam to mimic the foam on the shores).
There are other non-seasonal drinks which were just as good, and come with small bites. I liked my Welcome to Jeju No.2, which of course included tangerine.
We loved it so much it went back a second day for the guest bartender Grace Tsai, who brought her famous cocktails inspired by the elements. The liquor was infused with tea from different parts of Taiwan, making it incredibly delicate and distinct. Drinks were extremely good, creative and fun.
This was probably one of the best cocktail bars we've been to in a long while and I highly recommend everyone to go. It is usually not too crowded, but you can't reserve prior. You can use catchtable to register once you reach there to join the waitlist if...
Read moreOutstanding cocktail place - must visit if coming to Jeju! My partner and I have been to cocktail bars around the world and love trying from well-known places in the Best 50's bars to hidden gems. This bar was a great discovery as you can feel the attention to detail from your arrival, to the last sip.
We came to this bar with my parents as a group of four and I cannot recommend it enough. This bar has everything for a memorable experience: kind and welcoming staff members, good and calm ambiance, but especially a clever concept - cocktails made from Jeju inspired liquors paired with desserts. We ordered around 6 different cocktails and all of them passed our expectations. Most ingredients are made by the bar and the mixology is well thought through. While this is a bar, the paired desserts were of high quality and added up to the cocktail experience.
During our stay we were greeted with hand towels with a special aroma and provided delicious snacks. Before leaving, we were given a complimentary shot from a Jeju Tangerine brandy and a Korean jelly to prevent hangovers.
I would like to thank the team for granting us such a memorable experience. If you love well done cocktails, do not forget to pass by. The bar has an English menu, so it's easy to visit...
