I strongly believe this hotel who works with the taxi drivers to scam tourist.

I was quoted a flat rate I called the front desk. They redirected me to this woman at the concerned desk. She said 120,000 won for 5 hours and 200,000 won for 8 hours. She wrote it on her starch paper. The guy said he will call tomorrow. The taxi driver arrived and he said 5 hours. If go over time will be 20,000 won extra.

The ride & the unexpected charge I made sure to go from 7am to 12am (noon). I even went back early from my stops and stopped by money exchange. Even then we got back to the hotel before 12am (noon). But the, the taxi driver said that it was 150,000, but he was pointing to the meter he had on was 145,000. I at first I thought the meter was just there to show me I had a good deal.

The pressured payment I said the hotel said it is 120,000. We went in and talked to the concierge about it. There was one young guy and one older guy. The young one, I talked with for a bit saying, “why is he charging by the meter if it is suppose to be a flat rate for the taxi.” I told them the hotel quoted me one the price and that the taxi drivers also knew it was a flat rate. The hotel and the taxi drivers also knew talked together in Korean against me, pressuring me to pay 150,000 won. Then the taxi driver said 145,000 won is okay. The young one called the employees I talked to yesterday and I was quoted 150,000 won. And for that moment, with all three of these men against me, I thought, maybe I misheard. I paid the taxi 145,000 to get him out and talk to the hotel people. But then I look at my google search history and when I later went back to the hotel room I saw my writing said “120000 won for 5 hours, 200000 won for 8 hours”.

The moment I stood up & the hotel’s suspicious response I kept talking with them saying I want an email acknowledging what happened and a full investigation. They kept saying “I dont know” and sighing loudly. I asked the younger one for a email acknowledging that this situation happened and they will officially look into it, the older one disagreed in Korean in front of me. They called around and they got the taxi driver back. The driver gave me 25,000 won back, only after a solid 20 minutes of arguing about what happened. It seemed the hotel staff and him are very close. —-  Since if I was in the wrong why did they agree to a refund so quickly? Does that mean anyone who makes a scene doesn’t have to pay, it doesn’t make sense. I think they knew I was right. They kept insisting the hotel has no connection to the taxi driver. Both the older employee and the taxi driver. The taxi driver said “the hotel has nothing to do with the taxi”, why does the taxi driver say that?

The aftermath I ended up getting a picture of the taxi driver agreeing that I had paid the full 120,000 won. Becuase I didn’t want any trouble since they have my credit card. Yet an email was something I didn’t push for anymore. I ended up standing there for 2.5 hours. It made my stay in Jeju very bad, and I ended up being late for my plane. I am an American born 22 years old girl and I am traveling in korea with my teen brother. We had been using google translate the whole time and they had been speaking in Korean in front of me.

I would NOT recommend this hotel and I warn travelers to be careful...

I didn't know that Lotte hotels had different tiers within the family of Lotte hotels. Thought it was the 5 star Lotte hotel but this was their 4 star brand. But this was barely a 4 star hotel. Rooms were large but everything in it was old. Carpet was disgusting and needed to be replaced. Beddings were old and dusty and my friend and I had an allergic reaction due to the dusty beds and beddings. Dust and hair was everywhere and the lampshade was disgusting with stains all around. I do have to commend the maids here , they were the best thing in terms of the service at the hotel. Now only if they trained their front desk staff and all their staff members the same way. The check in was just okay but wasn't friendly. It was fine and I attributed it to the language barrier. The check out was even worse. She said "okay " and that was it when I gave her my key cards. The worst experience was when I asked the guy that worked at the cafe at the lobby level to heat up some left over chicken. He sighed loudly and said "no". I was trying to explain to him that it would only take about a minute in a microwave. He rudely put up his ✋ to stop me from talking. He typed in his phone " we can't heat anything " and then went back to just standing there. There weren't any customers. I was shocked at how rude he was and I was like whatever and left. The guy needs to be fired for being so rude like that. I went down at 10:05 am on Thursday November 16th 2023, if they care to read this review and discipline this dude. If you hate your job that much then you shouldn't be working at a hotel. Another incident that happened with the concierge stand downstairs at level 1 was that we asked to get a taxi, she informed it would cost an extra 1000 won. I told her that would be fine. Well 20 minutes and no taxis came and we were getting nervous since we could miss our flight. During that time frame , two taxis came and went and she didn't even bother to ask them to take us. Until she saw how frantic I was about missing my flight that she went to the third taxi that came to drop customers at the hotel and asked the driver to take us to the airport. I was like why didn't she do this earlier and we waited 20 minutes and nobody came. Then I realized later at the airport that because the taxi wasn't called by the hotel so he didn't charge us an extra 1000 won. So basically because of making 1000 won for the hotel, they almost made us late for our flight by making us wait for over 20 minutes when two taxis came and went during that time. Also thought Lotte hotels would have a gym and their gym was laughable with some light dumbbells and treadmills. The Sirius hotel down the road had a big and nice gym and for the same price we paid at Lotte, we could have gotten two rooms. Skip this hotel not worth the money and service was...

This is Lotte hotel which was good quality, within 10 mins from airport and has unblocked nice view of airport and mountains, although i did not stayed in a room facing airport so not sure about noise level but my sis in law had an unblocked view of aircraft landing and taking off. It was comfortable, where we each requested an extra pillow (they provide 2 soft pillows each only). It is near korean eateries, bread shop across street, several 7-elevens, one within hotel at B1, or bigger one 3-5 mins walk to right of hotel (for toothbrush and toothpaste, ramen, etc). Within 10 mins you can also walk to Grand Hyatt shopping mall, emart, lotte mart, Macdonalds. The concierge was polite, well verse in English, very helpful, getting us cab and explained 1000 extra won charge (thanks to feedback from previous guest review). I researched you can book Jeju day tour which picks you up from this hotel too. Price was reasonable for 22-23rd Sep, we came back on 26th before leaving for seoul. Carpark was free just registered when you check in at 6th floor, with enough slots when we came back on 26th and park our rental car. Only one small inconvenience, there was not enough charging point for all our devices at table and side bed table.

I was torn not able to give a 4 stars but this hotel doesn’t really worth 4 stars. Check in is at level 6 not level 1 which is labelled in the lift as Lobby. The counter staff at the front desk can speak good English and has really good attitude and service level. Room: I chose deluxe room with mountain view. Nothing deluxe about their room. The bed is slightly smaller than a Queen bed but definitely bigger than a super single. I have NOT been to a hotel that give such a tiny bed in a double room n deluxe some more! They have a big space left on the left side as shown in a picture and leave it almost bare. No sofa just an arm chair and a side table. They do provide a kettle but there is NO compatible place with the switch that u can place the kettle. Carpark: very convenient to have it automatically installed the entry and exit. Nothing around the hotel. Food etc. If u need a hotel that’s near the airport there are many cheaper and maybe better hotels around. Not this.
