Very, very bad experience ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ Those of you who can read this review immediately avoid lightning this hotel and Jeju Island this tourist destination !!!!!!!!!!! (Chinese people have serious discrimination + hotel theft is prevalent and difficult to compensate and pursue, + a hotel card can be used to open multiple rooms + scenic spots are monotonous and general + shopping prices are higher than buying back home)
Incident: Boys were entered into our hotel room without permission, and the bathroom was used (p1) Handling situation: No compensation or solution has been received at present
August 22: After communicating with the front desk, we entered the room with a man and used the bathroom. It took about 3 minutes for the front desk to emphasize that we could ask someone to clean the room tomorrow. (Their focus is on cleaning, not safety, and is changing the subject.) I also communicated with the front desk that we needed to check the surveillance (they replied that no one had entered our room and did not let me check the surveillance together within about 30 minutes). Then emphasize to us that there is only one key to a room, and only we can open the door to this room. (This answer is also very problematic, first of all, the common sense cleaning card can open the door of the room, their management or the front desk also has a special card can open the door of the room, the use of some technological means can also open the door of the room) This response does not have any credibility. First of all, I did not see the monitoring record, and secondly, the front desk generally does not have the right to directly view the monitoring.
-- Then I chose to communicate with Ctrip to solve this problem.
August 23rd The whole process is communicated by Ctrip and the hotel
My appeal: 1. Find a manager to solve this problem together. 2. I see the surveillance myself.
Manager problem: After the first communication, they said that they did not have a manager, and the manager went to work every Monday (just after we returned to China 👍). In the second communication, the girl at the front desk said that she was the on-duty manager (OK random manager, right?) and communicated with her if there was any problem. Asked to view the monitoring but was refused, saying that the guest could not view the monitoring. If you need to view the surveillance, you need to call the police (but the police may not be able to view the surveillance) see p4.
At present, we have changed a hotel to live in, I looked at the Jeju Island hotel theft/Jeju Island hotel sudden intruder small red book notes, probably have the following conclusions.
Sudden break-ins in Jeju hotels are the norm, because many hotels have a card that can open other rooms in the same hotel. It is difficult to defend our rights ➕ to solve the problem.
Hotel theft is also common in Jeju Island, and the cleaning staff and the front desk are likely to be in the same gang. For details, see notes on # Jeju Hotel theft
Calling the police won't work unless you're American
Then I checked the relevant notes of the hotel's little Red book: In the case of other people in the room, a man used the card to open the door of the room and almost broke in (fortunately, the door was plugged in p2)
There is a serious problem with...
Read moreWe stayed here for two nights after spending 5 other nights in Airbnb’s around Jeju. Thought we had booked a really nice hotel as a treat at the end of our trip but it was just ok. ||Pro’s: |- looks nice from the outside |-good air conditioning|- good shower and great heated toilet seat|- clean bedding and comfortable bed|- breakfast was really nice, with western and Asian options. |- nice location, close to the airport but also close to good shopping and lots of restaurants. ||Con’s:|- bad communication ( asked how we could get there without a car from Seogwipo and was emailed back with “you can get a bus”.) Every other accommodation in Korea gave us detailed bus information including bus numbers, the stops we would need and times. ||- the room was dark, like super dark, even with all of the lights on full. There was no main light in the room, just lots of little spotlights and a floor lamp. Granted we arrived on a dark day due to a typhoon but the spotlights and the small window were not enough to make the room comfortable. Also, weirdly, 2/3 of a Wall was covered in a curtain that had no window. Put some artwork there, or a window, but a curtain to cover a blank wall is weird. I planned to get some studying done but it was simply too dark. ||- Only one side of the bed had a nightstand which meant I charged my phone on the floor which isn’t a huge issue, except considering that the hotel boasts 5 stars at their main entrance.||- the room itself was fine in general, but it was clear that it was only surface dusted as the inside of lamps etc were really dusty. Also, it felt a little unloved, a broken lid on a kettle, a broken and spinning towel hook and a lamp which turned itself off after a minute. All of these issues good cleaning staff in a reputable hotel would notice when cleaning and should ensure the issues are rectified. ||- our towels were threadbare. Like worse than a hostel threadbare. ||- the rooftop is a bit of a joke despite it being heavily featured in the hotel’s marketing. There is no shade, no tables and broken, worn, uncomfortable looking wooden chairs and...
Read more3 days stay here, select base on the review from website, near shopping district and food street. Totally wrong. It’s only near some shopping house and far away from those main attractions. Service from hotel staff are average and did not bother to offer more. Don’t feel receptive and any question to them only reply a short answer then stop and the face “don’t bother me look. “ Couple of time getting taxi for me, did not even bother did i get into the correct Taxi. Room is ok but bed sheet seems dirty, both me and my wife got rashes the second day. Probably due to low occupancy. Shaver cost me 2000won, nothing is free here. There are no aircon due to changing session, aircon only blow wind or hot air. Sometime is hot during the day. Look like hotel save money and only install 1 central system , is either hot or cold. No room services and only serve breakfast, other times have to depend on those 7-eleven outside hotel. Breakfast are cater for local , not international standard. nothing are nice except coffee still acceptable. Checkout is 11am and did not even return me the credit card slip, when i request for it, printed small receipt but seems do not know what is credit card slip. Do not recommend this hotel unless u want to stay near casino, within 10min walking distance but a small casino. For the money spend can stay another better one. Other local in Jeju i face are quiet friendly, probably the whole hotel are...
