It's a bit hard to be really fair with this place. The owners did an exceptional job to renovate the house and even a bit more with the garden. Everything is small, but meticulously designed, maintained and presented. To a limited extent, that even includes the rooms. Particularly the roof construction is something to admire. The whole traditional construction, with all its crossing beams, is restored to old splendor. However, a word of warning is necessary. The rooms are small, and they are primitive to an extreme degree. There are no beds, just the naked floor for which you get a thin mattress and a cushion or two. There is floor heating, mind you, which in winter must be very nice. But sleeping is still not easy when you are used to sleeping in a bed, or at least in a futon, for that matter. Our backs were aching terribly when we got up and we had a hard time to get going that day. Also, there is no shower. Oh, yes, there is a shower hose. It's just... over the toilet. So how are you supposed to take a shower? But then, it must be emphasized that the owners went out of their way to help not only us but all their guests. They speak a little English, they made a big effort, and they were really, really friendly. So was it worth the 80 bucks we spent for one night? Well, taking into account the stunning beauty of the building and the exceptionally hospitable owners, the answer is a clear yes. Would we stay again? They might have to throw in a professional back massage in the...

Note that the floor was very warm even too hot, and we had a bit of trouble controlling the right temperature, yeah but still ok.
The gardens and buildings are very well maintained and beautiful. The location is very strategic, close to Jeonju Hanok Village, and just in walking distance to the Hanbyeok Tunnel where drama 2521 was filmed, and of course Na Hee Do's house. 😄
The area is very beautiful and there is a big river with clear water flowing nearby, just go down the stairs and you can find a little walk path for strolling around or bicycling.
Oh yes, convenience store / mini market is a bit far from guesthouse, it's a bit of a walk, but still I love walking in a beautiful area like this. Also close to the bus stop, only 5 minutes walk.
The owner is also very kind, even though we checked in late (previously notified by email), but still willing to wait and friendly to us. His English was also good, we chatted a lot and had fun.
All in all, we highly recommend this place, besides being worth the money, the experience of staying in a Korean traditional house like in drama is very unforgettable. 😍 You should...
