I preface this review by saying that this was the first time we had stayed in a hanok. So perhaps our expectations were unrealistic. ||||We booked the family room with private bath which was one of the largest rooms.. From the the photos on the web, the room looked spacious with what looked like a slightly recessed area with a small fridge. Kitchenette, I thought! So imagine our shock when we first walked into the room. It was not more than 150 sq feet at most and it was freezing! So after some difficult sign language and broken English and Korean exchanged, it seemed that we had been assigned the right room. Tiny but pricey! The room took a very long while to warm up as it was still very cold when we returned a few hours after exploring the Hanok Village. Thankfully, the floor was warm enough finally for us to sleep decently. The bathroom remained cold throughout though.||Location wise, it is great. just steps from one of the main road leading into the Hanok Village.||Again, I suppose that I had romantic notions of an ondol room similar to the beautiful ones that we see in teh saeguk dramas on tv and that might have been unrealistic. If 150,000 KRW gets only that tiny cold room, I will definitely not...

Read more한 달 전 중학교 친구들과 같이 전주 한옥마을 안에 있는 '서로'라는 멋진 한옥 게스트하우스에서 밤을 새우며 이야기를 나누었습니다. 마당 여기저기 주인장의 손길이 닿아있는 예쁜 나무들과 태양열 자가발전기 등이 어린이들만의 눈길을 사로잡는 것이 아니었습니다. 동심으로 돌아가서 사십 중반인 저희들도 이용을 해보고.....||더욱 좋았던 것은 깔끔하고 사각사각한 이불과 그윽한 나무냄새나는 방이었습니다. 가족들과 와도 좋고, 연인과 와도 좋고, 특히 친구들과 오면 더 좋을 이곳....||||한 가지 팁....서로에서 대략 50미터 쯤 나오면 누각 비슷한 곳이 있습니다. 이야기 나누고 싶은 친구들과 술 한 잔 기울이면서 서로를 알아갈 수 있는 곳이 바로 가까이에 있더라구요. 달빛을 받으면서 이야기를 나누는...
