Lovely, charming guesthouse right in the Hanok Village, amazing location and beautiful guesthouse with a lovely host. Communication via app, which of course works out well. Room spacious and clean, small bathroom. Futon expectedly hard but it's a fun experience for 1 or 2 nights. Breakfast in the morning is lovely prepared with coffee, juice, some fruit and a Korean breakfast sandwich (delicious, although not sure what it was). Please be aware that the walls are thin and you might hear noises from around. Overall still a great experience, lively host.

The room is small but comfortable. Enough space to open large suitcases. The bathroom has everything you need and is more modern than you would expect for a Hanok Village. The mattresses are thin but comfortable and I slept well. Breakfast is free and was delicious. They even gave us fruit afterwards and that is appreciated because it is very expensive in Korea. The person who runs the hotel did not speak English but she made herself understood thanks to a translator. Everything worked very well. Highly recommended!

Jeonju Folk Village is filled with Hanok style rooms. You will have a pick of places and each one is very similar. This hanok stay was a good choice. These places are not the most comfortable but are more about the experience. In the winter the floor heater can be a bit hot and many of these places do not have individual controls and Koreans tend to keep it way too hot. Also the pillows are a bit small and hard. I would not recommend sleeping in one of these rooms for more than 1 night. The walls are incredibly thin and allow for the noise to travel very easily between rooms. This place has a few rooms and a cute feel to it. If you are traveling on a weekday I totally recommend not booking a room in advance but rather walking around the village and looking at each place and asking for a good price. I stayed on a Sunday night in winter so I got a huge discount off the normal price of the room! Many of these places also offer a receipt that gives you 50% discount on the parking. Which makes it easier than trying to find...
