Booked this hotel solely based on TWO REASONS: 1) There is a picture showing a washing machine INSIDE THE ROOM 2) “Mountain View” stated CLEARLY as a feature of the room type I have selected.
When we arrived we got neither the Washing machine INSIDE THE ROOM nor he mountain view. I did a quick check on the rooms on the same floor and found other one of them has a front loading washing machine within the room. But the front desk insisted that based on my booking I am not entitled to either feature BECAUSE IN OUR BOOKING DETAILS INSIDE TRIP.COM app these were not stated as a room feature , EVEN THOUGH “MOUNTAIN VIEW” is clearly stated!
I challenged him that it is clearly stated in trip.com but he hurriedly said "sorry once you've used the room we won't change it for you". He also said that I chose the basic room option which is why I'm located on low floor and thus no mountain view. Dude! I chose it on trip.com! Family Twin Room which is more premium than your regular rooms!
Such disgusting service attitude!
I crossed check in the trip.com app again and I was shocked to find that for this hotel "MOUNTAIN VIEW" was stated in EVERY ROOM TYPE. So I raised a dispute with Trip.com but guess what? TRIP.COM threw me under the bus and said "oh the property owner can't speak Korean so we will get a Korean speaking colleague to check.", After which we received a disgusting reply saying "you have Washing machine use on reception level and your room has a window"
That's it.
And to make it worse, they do not provide bath towels, only hand towels.
Absolutely disgusting hotel service and an equally disgusting, dishonest service from trip.com! They don't understand it isn't the point of whether I need the washing machine or the mountain view, it is the pure dishonesty in the way they have conducted themselves that made me unhappy.
Ps: other obvious stupidy of the room amenities, we are given acooking hob that was installed the wrong way; the hob was orientated such that the control knob is on the inside. Shows a lot of wrong going on with this hotel.
I won't recommend this to anyone at all, there are better choices around within short...

Read moreYou Should read this before staying here and decide for yourself. My Disappointing Stay at Hotel Rest Seogwipo
Firstly, the food handling practices at Hotel Rest Seogwipo were quite alarming. I discovered that the manager transferred food from his own bowl to a guests plate without disclosing that it was second-hand food. This lack of transparency and disregard for basic food safety regulations left me feeling uneasy and concerned about potential health risks.
Furthermore, the noise disturbances caused by the cleaning staff were highly disruptive. Despite it being 8:00 in the morning, the staff were shouting and making excessive noise outside the hotel rooms. This greatly impacted my ability to relax and enjoy my stay, as I expected a peaceful and quiet environment.
Cleanliness standards at Hotel Rest Seogwipo were also lacking. Requiring guests to wash their own plates and cups after breakfast raised concerns about the cleanliness of these items. It is important for a hotel to ensure proper sanitation practices, and by shifting the responsibility onto guests, the hotel seemed to prioritise convenience over maintaining a high level of cleanliness.
Lastly, I was disappointed to discover that Hotel Rest Seogwipo charged additional fees for replacement sheets and pillows. I believe that essential amenities such as these should be provided without extra charges, as they are fundamental to a comfortable stay. This policy left me feeling inconvenienced and gave the impression that the hotel was trying to cut corners at the expense of guest satisfaction.
Overall, my experience at Hotel Rest Seogwipo was far from satisfactory. The issues with food handling, noise disturbances, cleanliness standards, and additional charges for amenities left a negative impression. I hope that the management addresses these concerns promptly to ensure a more pleasant and enjoyable experience for...
