Here are some of the main advantages and disadvantages of the hotel.
Advantages -
The hotel is in an excellent location and has easy access to the train station through which you can walk to the Starfield Coex Mall.
The hotel has a coffee shop which opens early so you can easily get a good cup of coffee.
The hotel also has a machine which can exchange multiple currencies into KRW. But it cannot exchange KRW back into the currency you initially used.
There is a miniature Internet Cafe where you can rent access to a computer and use it to complete any pending work.
Disadvantages -
The hotel has a set breakfast menu which can get very repetitive and boring. Hence I would recommend eating only once or twice and choose a different set each time.
The hotel has small and compact rooms which can be a little uncomfortable for multiple people staying in the room and storing their luggage.
The rooms have a frosted door which separates the washroom and main room. This door isnt very frosted hence you can see everything that is happening in the washroom. You cannot cover this window and hence it can be disruptive if multiple people are in the room.
Most necessary amenities are not provided in the room for this hotels “Sustainability Goals” and instead you must go down to the reception to get essentials like toothpastes that you might have not carried. They rather give you amenities of no use at all.
Other Notes -
The hotel staff were amazing and extremely kind. They easily book any service that you require and give you your breakfast coupons in a short time. They are well trained in english so it is easy to...
Read moreVery good location if you want to stay in Gangnam, close to Subway Line 2, and COEX Center. Literally 100m from the Subway elevator, and another 50m if you take the stairs. Bus stop if you are coming from routes from Myeongdeong will stop close to a Police Station just 100m past the hotel entrance.
Staff service is good, the staff cleaning the rooms are polite and nice, they also clean rooms at a time that most guests are already on their way out. Requests were catered efficiently even if they say it is a bit busy.
The complaints I have read are usually those from the streets and from the construction of the underground extension of the subway/COEX, but the hotels cannot do anything about those. It didn't bother me that much, it is expected because the location is in the middle of a busy Gangnam.
Coffeeshop at the lobby seems nice, there are also local Korean restaurants behind the hotel, Starbucks coffee, and convenience store.
The room is small but better than Shilla's or Hotel in 9. The tv shelf has some smalls storage spaces where you could organize some of your stuff. It is indeed quite small if you need space to open up your luggages, so what whar I did, I took everything out of my luggage and used the overhead spaces to keep the luggage...
chose this place as it was near to the subway + concert venue🍀Plus:- 1 subway stop away from Jamsil Indoor Stadium (good if you have events/concerts there☺️)- very near to subway (first thing I see is the hotel when leaving by Exit 1 - be it by stairs/lift)- near to COEX mall/ktown4u which is good for shopping, attractions and dining. (just that most stores are closed by 9/10pm but theres still a convenience store nearby😂)- tried NOP'S (놉스) at B1 of hotel during lunch and would recommend the place! The steak is really juicy🤤 Recommended to make a reservation as there may not be seats avail for walk-ins. - The coin laundry is avail at B2 of hotel. Theres English & Korean instructions avail😁 only cards are accepted.- walking distance (mostly sheltered) to nearest pick-up/drop-off points for Airport Limo bus (6103)Service-wise depends on staff I guess. Some are really nice and helpful but the rest are OK too! Its nice that theres staff at the counter, even at night. The room attendant is really nice and friendly too! Thank you for the hard work☺️Overall: Would recommend this hotel and would probably stay again👍(FYI: construction works are ongoing till Jul 2024! But I personally think theres not much...
