Stay a way from this place.We booked room wth cancellation opportunity ||Firstly we been scammed for 657 e total amount 3 weeks before arrival they take pre-authorization which should go on with a day of cancellation expiry 3 day before arrival, so my friend stay without money on account, when we ask why they answer this is scam they said that they did not do it, to everyone and team there bank do not do scam bank preauthorized card as they make it purposely.room was so small that you couldn't even walk to bed no where to put bags apart of bed, and on the floor we booked more expansive option with balcony there is no balcony I mean 20cm_1 m long the couldnt feet chair but they price the balcony as well very old and dirty one,door no possible to open as they hitting a bed horrible,room offer no basic we are not looking for luxury but basic things no there, set of towels for 1 person only we where two, no space to walk my friend almost broke a toes as she punch on bed hardy walk as wall almost meet a bed. ironing was happening on the bed haha.Get very disappointed immidetly we arrived and ask to talk to a manager so we overpaid what we get the mystery lady avoid to talk, we ask for some % money refund as them rate are figly for 4* hotel and there are only 2* operating as hostel basically. she left brief massage on reception no any money back, so miserable lady. The only thing is good staff there they need to lie for her and facing all this situation every single day as there was more guest not happy at reception. Rooms looks modern let say promoting green tourism and recycling, with plastic flowers but no basic, only bed and wall and one small self that is it, Lift and stars do not mach any standard looks scary and dirty very old, lift saying 4 people in bearly bring 1 person wth bag scared if you stock in. Street close to Rambla but the most dodgy and unsafe in Barcelona really...The owner lady simply doesn't care she cares only money to swipe others card I think one of the review she answer 'you are in Barcelona', silly, she doest meet the value.No recommending this place At all....
Read moreI was in a rush to book somewhere to stay for one night in Barcelona at the back end of a 14-day itinerary and didn't do detailed research of this place before booking. However, overall, I was very satisfied with the experience.
The pros: Great staff who were very friendly and helpful. Shout out to Celine, especially, but also Marco and Artur! Coffee, tea and water are complimentary in the dining area. Rooms are newly renovated with a nice aesthetic. Love the rain shower. Close to the metro, La Rambla and most things you want to see. I liked the ethnic diversity of the area, although others see it as a negative
The cons: The lobby is a long flight of stairs from the entrance. Not very convenient with a lot of luggage. There is a small lift to other floors. The rooms are a little underfurnished. Could do with a safe, a sitting table, etc. The halls and layout of rooms feel a little dorm style. The street is not as clean or picturesque and a store owner did warn of petty crimes in the area. I saw strong police presence, though, and the street was pretty busy until late. Agree if you are not walking alone, you should be good.

I mistakenly booked the wrong date and, just two hours later, I contacted the hotel to request either a full or partial refund, or a simple date change. Any customer-focused property would at least have tried to find a solution. Not here. They flatly refused, replying with two short sentences and then simply ignored me. They even had the nerve to say there was a one-hour “grace period” and that I was too late, despite my request being made only two hours after booking and while I was not even in Barcelona. They repeated that the booking was non-refundable without any attempt to listen or understand the situation. Even Booking.com tried to contact them to negotiate, and they didn’t answer. When I offered to move the booking to alternative dates when rooms were available, they even blocked the option, showing a complete lack of goodwill.
