Haida spent the last part of his life here after being run over by a tram. It now houses a library a school and an institute. It is peaceful and the architecture is lovely. Be careful. Was nearly robbed inside the garden in broad daylight just now. My path was blocked by two shady men as I was walking through the gardens. One tried to snatch my watch. Luckily I was able to push him away which caused both of us to fall down, as I shouted a very strong and clear “no” which attracted the attention of the handful of people nearby. Nice place to stop and rest for a while. Great experience to see locals who are doing their best to keep the place clean and well maintained, while some guy with socks and flip-flops (hard to say if he is a local) throwing garbage on the ground while there is a trash can 5 meters away).
