First, please be advised that there's no elevator in the building. The pension is located on the 2nd floor, so there're quite a few stairs to go if you've gotten more than a carry-on. 2nd, there's no spare key for all entrances and you have to hand in your room key every time you go out (I didn't know it's a common practice in Spain though until I moved on to the next city), so you have to buzz in every single time; luckily, one of the owner couple is always there when I go in-and-out the building (I never return later than 10 pm though). The room I got is fairly big for a single person by European standard. It's clean and efficiently equipped with basic things I needed. Even though the bathroom has just a shower, the water pressure is really decent and the water warms up within 5 seconds. The place is in a "tough neighborhood" (according to my local friend) and I did get scared when I was walking around trying to find Pension Bertolin at 10:30 pm; nonetheless, it's about 15 minute walk from the city center, and I didn't encounter anything troublesome during the 3 nights of my stay.
