I loved just about everything about this hotel except the wifi which was nothing short of appalling and unacceptable in this age. It was as slow as dial up and so bad that some standard websites would not open. That aside this is a super hotel and extremely reasonably priced. It is a new or recently refurbished building just behind the Museum of Human Evolution and very convenient to the old city. At check in the receptionist was charming and helpful. Later he printed a page for me at no charge. My room was right at the top of the building on the 5th floor with 2 large skylights in place of windows. The room was a reasonable size with double bed and desk. There was also a small fridge and a safe inside the closet. The bathroom was fairly small with a cramped shower stall but lots of good hot water to make up for that. I stayed 2 nights and the room was serviced between them which is unusual but welcome in this coronavirus time. ||||There had been a significant cold snap so the heating was turned on and it was not possible to use A/C to cool the room down. Read moreWe stayed here in April as we were travelling through Spain and wanted to try somewhere different to those previoulsy visited. The staff were really helpful, efficient and friendly with good English too. No onsight food meant we had to go out for a meal but the onsight cafe was good for snacks and drinks. The breakfast offering was included and excellent, we enjoyed this very much.||The room and bathroom was very clean and tidy, but no tea or coffee facilities in the room. Parking is available at extra charge, but as this is secure and 24 hour manned, it is worth the cost. We booked here for our return trip as we were so impressed and returned to the same excellent...
Read moreThankfully the Hotel Forum Evolucion is situated right behind the monumental Forum housing the brilliant Museo de la Evolucion Humana on the south side of Burgos, otherwise the modest entry to this city hotel would be a little hard to find. Drop your bags off outside the door and park in the Forum underground carpark. Rooms are somewhere between functional and minimalist, but clean and comfortable (nice wide single beds). Breakfast is not expensive and benefits from the proximity of the coffee-bar adjacent to the hotel. Five minutes walk across the bridge and you are in town, with all the restaurants Burgos...
