Nestled in the heart of the historic city, NH Collection Palacio de Burgos is a testament to luxury, comfort, and impeccable service, making my stay truly unforgettable. This beautifully restored palace, with its blend of gothic charm and modern elegance, offers a unique gateway to the rich heritage and beauty of Burgos, Spain. From the moment I stepped into the grand lobby, I was struck by the hotel's attention to detail. The preservation of historical features, including stunning stained glass and intricate stone arches, alongside contemporary design, creates an ambiance that is both inviting and awe-inspiring. It's a place where history and modernity harmoniously coexist, offering guests a one-of-a-kind experience. The rooms at NH Collection Palacio de Burgos are a haven of comfort. With plush bedding, state-of-the-art amenities, and breathtaking views of the Burgos Cathedral or the Arlanzón River, every element is designed to provide the ultimate relaxation. The subtle elegance of the decor, combined with the latest technology, ensures a stay that is both comfortable and connected.Dining at the hotel is an experience in itself. The breakfast buffet is a gastronomic delight, offering a wide variety of local and international dishes. Fresh, high-quality ingredients and a charming setting make for the perfect start to the day. The hotel's restaurant further impresses with its innovative cuisine, drawing on traditional Spanish flavors to create dishes that are both familiar and surprising.Service at NH Collection Palacio de Burgos is unparalleled. The staff go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued. Their recommendations for local attractions and dining options were invaluable, making my exploration of Burgos all the more enriching. It’s clear that hospitality is not just a service here; it’s a passion.Located within walking distance to many of Burgos' iconic landmarks, including the majestic Burgos Cathedral and the historic city center, the hotel serves as an ideal base for exploring the city's treasures. Yet, its tranquil ambiance also provides a serene retreat from the bustling streets outside. In summary, NH Collection Palacio de Burgos stands out as a jewel in the city's accommodation offerings. Its blend of historical elegance, modern luxury, and stellar service creates an environment where guests can truly immerse themselves in the splendor of Burgos. My stay was not just comfortable; it was a memorable experience that highlighted the best of Spanish hospitality and the rich cultural tapestry of Burgos. Whether you're visiting for business or pleasure, NH Collection Palacio de Burgos is a destination that promises to enchant...

Centrally located. An easy 5 minute walk to Plaza Mayor and the city center. The Catedral de Burgos is an easy 10 minute walk. The castle is a 15 minute walk. Set just across from the river, you can stroll along the river banks and take in the natural beauty of the city.

The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Full-scale bathroom and lavatory area. Two closets, coffee bar area, refrigerator, room safe, two chairs, and a two person sofa. There is a desk (with one of the chairs) with USB plugs and an electrical outlet. When I said spacious, I do mean spacious for this not being one of their suites.

My only critique of the bath area is that the tub should have either more grab bars or the tub floor should have anti-slip strips.

The staff in the hotel is wonderful! Reception is very efficient both with check-in and check out. Questions were always answered with a smile and suggestions when requested. The cocktail bar staff is friendly and attentive.

There is lemon water next to reception. After a day's walk about, a cold refreshing glass of water is most welcome.

Be sure to pay attention to their ecological conservation offers. You are rewarded with a beverage for delaying room service. This is a very creative idea to help conserve both water and energy.

I only have one small critical critique of one minor arrangement regarding the in-room coffee service. When we arrived, the in-room coffee bar only had 3 coffee pods - 1 intense, 1 normal and 1 decaffeinated. Going down to reception to inquire of an extra coffee pod or two, we were told that there would be a charge. However, if we waited until the next morning, housekeeping would provide any number of pods, no additional charge. This appears odd to me in that it delays the morning coffee "fix". For morning tea drinkers, this won't be an issue as there were numerous tea options and a kettle. Minor detail, but the reason for this process eludes me.

I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again during my winter...

We are in Burgos quite frequently and stay either here or at the AC Hotel across the river. In the past we have had great stays at the NH Collection here however this time was not as nice. Rooms are really starting to show their wear and while the building is architecturally historic and very beautiful everything needs a good renovation. They also are continuing a policy of minimal amenities (no coffee maker, hot water boiler) in the rooms which we were grumpily told was due to COVID policy by the night manager but which is really just cost savings (we have recently been at NH Collections in Leon, Berlin and Madrid that have no such policy and have fully stocked rooms). Even the bar and coffee shop in the lobby is closed. In fact - when we raised these issues with the night manager and asked him to pass them along to the main manager he replied, “you tell him - I’ve already done it.” The website confirms these things are still included in the room when you book so there is a bit of false advertising going on here. I would have loved the chance to raise these issues directly with the hotel upon checkout but I was not asked how my stay was (nor thanked for staying for that matter). We have already changed our next reservation and will be back at the much more welcoming AC next trip during the...

Burgos is half way between Paris and the Costa del Sol, a great place to stop for the night on the road. This hotel was a fantastic oasis of luxury and they accept dogs which is why we chose them. The room was fully fitted with warm wood, cozy sofa, bathtub, and they gave us treats for the dog- a dog bed, biscuits and food and water bowls as well as a tag for the door so the cleaners don’t enter if the dog is alone. The location is good for walking to the beautiful historic center of Burgos where you will find huge pedestrian zone with literally hundreds or thousands of tapas bars each more typical than the next, outdoor living all year round. Very large and cozy beds and silent room. We took a standard room on the quiet back street, as the premium rooms with views are over the main boulevard. They looked sound proofed but we didn’t need the view. The hotel has a huge reception area in a historic courtyard and there was a very large reception this night but we didn’t hear any of it from our room 228. Would not have wanted to be closer to the party though so make sure you ask for a quiet room. Will definitely come back on our way back and forth with our dog!

This hotel was a pleasure to stay at. The rooms are comfortable and clean. You can opt out of daily cleaning service in lieu of a drink ticket to be used at the bar. They have consumables in the rooms that are environmentally friendly. The breakfast buffet is incredible, very fresh lots of options and the chef will make you eggs and an omelet anyway that you’d like. Each morning you get to sample a different style of smoothie. The wait staff in the restaurant are fantastic. There is an outdoor deck and full gym with sauna on the third floor. The location is about a five minute walk to the cathedral and it’s on the street that runs parallel to the beautiful river that flows through the town. I was in Burgos for the dance World Cup, where my daughter was performing. I broke my toe on the first day of the trip and the hotel supplied me with fresh ice for my foot every day. No questions asked!! I would highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in Burgos.
