Hotel Villa Frigiliana — Hotel in Frigiliana

Located at the centre of Frigiliana, this was the perfect hotel for me to visit this stunning and charming town in southern Spain. I had an amazing time in the city and especially the hotel was immensely helpful in that matter. My clean and lovely room also had a terrace-balcony with an amazing view over the central area of the town. Every evening the sun set right behind the houses and people in front of me, and I could dream of more. I didn’t try or see the pool, that’s for you to discover.

Breakfast: small warning: it’s a cold breakfast, so no bacon or eggs or anything. Still, I didn’t miss it since it was compensated by a lovely selection of various kinds.

My personal main factor was the lovely staff though. Everybody was extremely friendly and helpful. Especially the woman at the reception (idiotic me didn’t ask for her name…) helped me out with a very personal and important matter of mine. Very straightforward hotel - easy check-in, v helpful & efficient receptionist, parking on-street nearby or in the big underground pay car park opposite, and a range of rooms - some with a balcony, some with a terrace etc. comfortable rooms (& beds), of a decent size, and quiet too despite the main road outside. The breakfast was ok and reasonably varied (plenty of it, too) but the coffee from the machine was barely drinkable and the juice was sweetened squash: surely Spanish hotels of all places can find a way to provide 109% squeezed juice? We didn’t check out the pool (the weather had definitely just turned) but that’s a bonus. All in all a good value place to stay in a lovely town, especially as there aren’t a lot of choices other than...

We have stayed at the Hotel Villa Frigiliana seven or eight times over the last ten years .|Fabulous location , parking is on the road outside and depending on the time of day it might mean having to walk a little bit further.|Hotel has changed hands a couple of times and is now part of a three hotel chain .
