Disappointed by the service – won’t be returning

I stopped by to enjoy a gelato from the adjoining shop (which is part of the same restaurant) and asked if it would be okay to also order a coffee from the restaurant side. The gelato attendant kindly said it wouldn’t be a problem.

But when I asked the tattooed waiter, I was met with an eye roll and immediate dismissal. He told me flatly “no” like I was a nuisance, and when I politely questioned it, he acted visibly annoyed and reluctantly asked the owner. He came back with a brusque “only if it’s to go” and walked away before I could even respond.

Eventually, I spoke directly to (what I assume was) the owner inside and he was perfectly fine with it—friendly and reasonable. But the damage was done.

I won’t return based on that waiter’s attitude. A little kindness goes a long way, especially when your business depends on tourism. It costs nothing...

Racist staff. September 2024 I haven’t felt so brown before. I am a Mauritian living in London. Spain is one of our most favourite place to visit. So far everywhere we have been I have had the best hospitality until I visited restaurants bar virtues. First I asked where can we sit, I was told anyware whereas other more lighter in colour people were escorted to their place. Then I sat on a table and no body came to attend me. Other people came after me were seen straight away. I was ignored the whole time. There is no management so I spoke to one of the waiter and I was told oh we did not see you. Very disappointed and it left me a bitter taste of such a wonderful country. I definitely not recommend it to...
