We enjoyed staying at Casa Bombo very much. The location is great - it's brilliant being in the heart of the Albaicin and so close to Mirador San Nicolas ( up) and Plaza Nueva (down) and the views of Alhambra from the terrace/dining area are lovely. The staff are extremely friendly, kind and helpful - can't fault them. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The bathroom (bath and shower) are fine (we like the bath option) and the room storage is good. There's no chair but to be fair you can go out into the dining room or on the patio to sit. And there"s no kettle etc in the room, however there's a kettle and supply of teas in the kitchen where you can help yourself, with a comunal kettle, together with chilled drinking water. Breakfast is simple continental breakfast with fruit, yoghurt, oats and a couple of other cereals, nuts, seeds and dried fruit, then bread of some kind with lots of jam choice and some biscuits/muffins, plus cheese and ham. We have no hesitation in recommending Casa Bombo....we'd stay there again if we were ever revisiting Granada. But NB it's not for those with large suitcases....our advice, travel light because taxis can only drop you a few narrow/steep little streets away. Not a problem for us with a small suitcase and a rucksack. If you travel light, definitely give Casa Bombo a go - oh, and there's even a tiny pool and a...
Read moreWe had an amazing stay! While we paid for an average room, it was clean, well-organized, and cozy. The highlight was definitely the breathtaking view of Alhambra—it doesn’t get better than this.
Surprisingly, the hotel itself turned out to be a much better experience than the fancy restaurant reservation we overpaid for. The small and cozy vibe made it feel so welcoming. We spent the evening playing board games with a bottle of delicious, affordable white wine (only €14!) while soaking in the views—it was perfection.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations. The location is conveniently close to the Mirador de San Nicolás, which made exploring easy.
A tip: definitely take a taxi to get there. Walking with backpacks is a bit of a challenge, but if the taxi drops you off near the mirador, it’s just a quick 4-minute walk.
Breakfast was another highlight—fresh and delicious, the perfect way to start the day. We’ll absolutely be back!

Read moreFirst of all, Casa Bombo has an incredible view of the Alhambra. It is breathtaking day and night. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast that was included was decent. However, there are some downsides. To get the incredible view, it is on the upper side of the hill and it can be and will be difficult to get there, especially if you have large suitcases. There are buses (and taxis) to get you up to the nearest road, but you will be facing a LOT of stairs. Don’t get me wrong. Casa Bombo continuously warns you about this, so I’m not saying it’s their fault, but do keep in mind. Also keep in mind that, once you get there, there are some stairs even inside the establishment. Next, the beds are really small and shaky. The pillows are more like cushions and aren’t really comfortable. Next, keep in mind that there is ONLY one room with private terrace. Other rooms will share the balcony, which means you may not want to keep your windows open as shown in the photos on the booking sites. So, choose your room(s) according to your preferences. Now, with all that said, I would still highly recommend Casa Bombo to anyone...
