A bit of constructive criticism. We stayed here for 2 weeks, all inclusive. We've been to many 4* and 5* hotels, but this is on the edge to be 3, the only thing that saves it is, probably air-conditioning in rooms. Hotel needs a bit updating, but that's not a problem, it's not in shambles. The biggest problems we could find with this hotel, even it's been part of a great hotel chain, is entertainment in the hotel and service, at the bar especially. First of all, owner of the hotel is trying to superscrimp on everything, entertainment is only on couple of evenings, not even a simple music in the background on the days when there's no entertainment. Hotel is in so quiet place where nothing happens, so if you haven't rented a car for whole stay, like we did, you'll be paying good money for taxi rides to Las Americas or Los Cristianos, where all the parties happen. For a type of service and a class of hotel there's no free WiFi, in the place where nothing happens there should be a free WiFi access, for a 4 hotel. Second, hotel short of staff, but they do such a good job it's admirable their enthusiasm, only downside is the bar staff, management or whoever chose the shortest, slowest and most distractable woman on the bar, there's always a queue at the bar, even when there's non-all-inclusive guests at the bar. When that person was on her day off, bar ran like a Swiss watch. Rooms need extractor fan in the bathroom, otherwise anything you do in the bathroom you can smell for all day in the bedroom. Food is OK, nothing fancy, but it's a buffet style, so don't expect top class service. Sometimes the food is bland, but you can add salt and pepper, they are provided. It would be a problem for allergic individuals, because almost nothing is marked, and if some food is marked, it's poor Google translate. Room cleaning staff is excellent, no issues there. Pool is very cold, especially hotel being in so windy area. The temperature and ph levels haven't changed on the board for 2 weeks, knowing how the pool system works, it can't be possible, they always change. Altogether hotel is good, but if the management would give attention to detail or attention to the client, not their profit, there would be more happy customers, and happy customers...

Hotel Tenerife Golf & Sea View – A Fantastic Stay!

Before booking, I read some great reviews, along with a few slightly negative ones. Am I glad I listened to the positive ones? Absolutely!

Just a ten-minute taxi ride from the airport, you’ll find yourself in a self-contained little village where you could easily stay, eat, drink, and relax until it’s time to leave. Located at the bottom of San Miguel de Abona, the hotel is less than two minutes away from a well-stocked supermarket with fresh produce, local tourist shops, a pharmacy, and fantastic bars and restaurants catering to all tastes.

The hotel itself is well-kept, with professional staff who are friendly, smiling, and polite. Airlines even house their staff here, which says a lot!

As we visited at the start of the season, I can’t comment on how busy the sun loungers get, but we always found a place to relax and soak up the sun. They provide towels and lounger mats, making it easy for sun-seekers to enjoy their day. There are two pools—one for toddlers—but unfortunately, it wasn’t heated during our stay, so we couldn’t take our baby in. However, I enjoyed a refreshing dip throughout our visit.

The views are breathtaking, and the recently built walkways make exploring nearby villages easy and enjoyable—perfect for someone like me who loves to get out and about.

Our room was a superior double with a sea view—absolutely stunning! It was clean, well-presented, and comfortable. The TV, kettle, and a fridge that actually keeps things cold were great for storing snacks while settling our baby for a nap.

Now, the bar and restaurant—wow! Honestly, one of the best I’ve experienced in any hotel worldwide for a B&B package. The breakfast, lunch, and bar snack options were varied and delicious. You can sit inside or outside to start your day, and once again, the staff were incredibly accommodating.

Would I recommend staying here? Yes! Would I come back? Without a doubt!

A huge thank you to the hotel for accepting our request for a cot—it made our stay even smoother. For that, and everything else, 10/10!

(I did sadly hear maybe a adult only hotel soon so if so...

We stayed at Hotel Tenerife Golf and Sea View for one night, just before departing the island. Here's a small list of pros and cons that come to my mind.

Pros: -Location! Very close to Southern airport, so it is ideal place to stay if you don't want to travel too far! Taxi took around 15 minutes to and from the airport.

-Staff. The staff were incredibly nice and hospitable, they were friendly and did almost everything with a smile. Special thanks goes to Nuria, who gave us a larger room! Also, the gentleman who worked reception during 12.4. at around 7am was friendly. He had made sure, that our breakfast packs were ready and ordered us a taxi, which arrived almost immediately.

-The view and the sundeck. The view was incredible and the sundeck was quite large to catch some rays.

Now for the things that we weren't completely happy about:

-Overall cleanliness. On the surface the hotel seems really beautiful and well kept, but dig a little deeper and it gets worse. Most of the things were either dirty or in need of fixing. For example, the jacuzzi in our bathroom was really crusty and didn't seem too inviting, surfaces in the pool area were kind of dirty and unpleasant to look at and the surfaces in our room were full of scratches and scuff marks. Also, it seemed that the lobby roof had some water damage to it and in the process, damaged the pool table.

-Moldy room? While I'm not an expert, it seemed that our room had mold in it. I got a headache immediately in our room and the room had a funky smell to it. I had to turn the AC off, which seemed to be the source of the smell and air out the room. My symptoms disappeared during the same day we checked out.

-Food. The food from the bar was really good (I had the club sandwich, which was fresh and very tasty), but the dinner buffet was so-so. Either kind of bland or too salty, was kind of disappointed about it.

So all in all, seemingly beautiful hotel with very nice staff at a great location but in need of renevation and fixing. For one night it was a good place to stop at, but I wouldn't stay there for longer than that. I wish it was better kept and...

For a 4 star hotel, it definitely fails for me. I've been in other 4 star hotels which almost felt 5 star, whereas this felt more like a 3 star. Let me cover the positives - the entrance to the hotel is open and airy with a view of the pool beyond. There's someone at the reception to greet and get you settled in. The dining area is large and there is outdoor seating too, although we never sat there as it was cold in the morning. Food options for breakfast and dinner are decent enough. The hotel was clean and there was parking available close to the hotel most days. Now the not so good - somehow we found ourselves in the middle of a strike which meant that during our 4 day stay, the room was not cleaned for 2 days because of lack of staff. So not so great, but our towels were changed. Next the room - it was really bland, not even a cushion to lift it up. Very very basic. The kettle's lead was so short that we had to put it on the ground so it could reach the socket. We did have a sea view, but the sliding doors would not close fully so we had a very loud hissing noise of the sea. Someone came in to have a look but said this is a problem in most of the rooms. What?! right? So we found a way that reduced the hissing by opening the sliding doors a little more. Which brings me to the final point - there was a hotel opposite ours which played really loud music all through the day and night (until 11pm) which we could hear in our rooms. I guess if you're up late it's fine, but we usually were trying to sleep by that time, and it was just really annoying. So either you have the hissing sound or the music from the hotel - can't say which is worse. I wouldn't stay in this hotel again for all the reasons above. In terms of location, it's not close to the popular beaches, but still there is a buzz in the evenings. There's a supermarket opposite the hotel which is great to get water etc..(tap water is not suitable for drinking). When the room was not cleaned for the 2nd day in a row, we went to have a word with them..which is probably why they removed the 2 glasses of wine that we had during our stay from the invoice.
