Hotel Reino Nevado — Hotel in Monachil

I have stayed at many hotels in Sierra Nevada and do tend to get there around 4 or 5 times a season, so was excited to visit a new hotel.||A bit disappointed really...||I knew it was going to be a long way from the centre (although in reality its not) but it is difficult to get there with skiing kit and overnight bags. You can walk the road route (40 mins) or take the unlit steps...not recommended unless you are an Olympic athlete||The room itself was great, very good in fact, but i was a bit disappointed with the overall feel of the hotel. I don't think its had a refresh since it was built and its starting to look dated. The guy on reception was very very helpful..but that doesn't make up for a tired looking hotel..||The continental breakfast was kind of expected but its not presented in the best way...on the second morning we opted to go out for breakfast instead||The views over the village are magnificent, but you get the same views at a lot of other hotels...probably won't try...

BASTANTE LADRONES!!! NO RECOMIENDO NINGÚN HOTEL DE ESTA CADENA!! Hicimos una reserva a través de la web a las 14.30h. del mediodía para esa misma noche (79.38€) y por error y desinformación en su web reservamos en el Hotel Reino de Granada (a una hora de Sierra Nevada) en vez de en el Hotel Reino Nevado (casi con el mismo nombre) que es donde queríamos pasar la noche. De hecho, al pinchar en el botón reservar habitación del Hotel Reino Nevado la reserva se hace por defecto en Hotel Reino de Granada a no ser que despliegues una pestaña y cambies la selección del hotel, pero tampoco indica que debas hacerlo y en ningún sitio aparece que haya más hoteles en esa web. Tampoco es lógico que aparezca por defecto un hotel si yo he pinchado en Reservar en otro... ¿ Y cómo puedo yo saber que son distintos hoteles con un nombre tan parecido y estando los dos en Granada?||El caso es que nos dimos cuenta al llegar al hotel 4 horas después de hacer la reserva cuando después de muchas investigaciones con el recepcionista vimos que la reserva era en el hotel en Granada y no en el de Sierra Nevada. Llamamos a las 18.30 para informar al hotel de Granada de este error y le explicamos que nosotros seguimos el proceso de reserva normal pero la web al no ser user friendly ha hecho que reserváramos en el hotel equivocado y que por favor cambiaran la reserva al hotel que queríamos y donde estábamos. Nos dijeron que no nos devolvían la reserva y que teníamos que irnos a Granada. No teníamos coche, ya no había autobuses y un taxi eran más de 100€ si es que encontrábamos en temporada alta... Por lo que al final pagamos la noche otra vez (124€) en el Hotel Reino Nevado y después de haber reclamado y de haber acudido al hotel en persona en Granada ciudad a explicar la situación, nos dicen que no nos devuelven el dinero.||El hotel dice que hemos hecho una reserva online no reembolsable, pero en los pantallazos puede verse cómo el proceso de reserva en su web en un hotel te lleva a reservar en otro y una persona que no es de Granada y no conoce esos hoteles no tiene por qué saber que hay más hoteles con nombres parecidos en los que solo cambia la última palabra. Además, la habitación ha estado bloqueada solo 4 horas y encima estamos pagando la noche en otro hotel de la cadena, somos sus clientes!! ||Este es el tipo de empresas a las que les dan totalmente igual sus clientes y que acogiéndose a la tarifa no reembolsable hacen crecer sus ingresos a base de clientes que han tenido un error muy fácil de cometer por la desinformación en su web. Podemos llegar a pensar que está hecho así aposta y que es un proceso de reserva fraudolento. Alertamos a todo el mundo que pueda reservar en su web que tenga muchísimo cuidado y que mejor no use la web. Aunque con todas las opciones tan buenas que hay NO VOLVERÍA A ESTE HOTEL O CUALQUIER OTRO DE LA MISMA...

So me and my boyfriend visited this hotel for a weekend in mid march. First of all there is no "easy" way to get to the hotel without a car. There is about 300steps to go up and it's almost 1km from the village. The receptionist was ok but was not that willing to help us with for example calling a taxi. The views from the hotel was amazing, really breathtaking but the room was really really basic. Bathroom was perfect though! Breakfast very basic, bread & yougurth. If you just want somewhere to sleep then it's good but if you want to spend just a little more time in the room i would not...
