Do not come here to practise Spanish. Both of my parents were from Argentina and i grew up speaking spanish however i never learned how to do the accent right due to difficult pronouncing my Rs . I did a language placement test and tested at a high C1 level which is beyond fluent level. This was my first time in Spain i came here a few hours after arriving at the airport. all i can say was i was majorly disappointed with the staff. every single time i tried to speak spanish to them they would instantly reply back to me in english non stop. this happened with 3 different memebers of staff who all stringed together broken sentences, mainly the gentleman behind the bar and one of the men who worked at the hamburger and taco place. i also witnessed the exact same thing at another table with other tourists where two foreign people would constantly be replied to in english. i went elsewhere on my second night and found much nicer places with nicer food where people replied back to me in spanish. ultimately DO NOT eat here if you are learning spanish. If they notice one slight flaw or one problem with your spanish they will straight up REFUSE to speak to you in spanish and only speak to you in a very very poor quality of english. Do not come here, the review would be one star if the food...
Read moreAmbience/Location: Its a beautifully restored building with plenty of seating inside, a bar and a club at the back. Inside there are various restaurants, all with delicious food. If you want a table, get there latest 9pm and the wait is little to none. Anything past that and the queue gets incredibly long. The nightclub at the back was less busy on Friday and way too crowded on Saturday.
Service: I went twice on a Friday ans Saturday. I felt the service on Friday was much better, maybe because it was slightly less busy. I found the service on Saturday was a but more unfriendly and it was harder to get attention or our check.
Food: Food is varied ans fantastic. Love the concept that you can order from any of the food restaurants. Everything was delicious. We had: almonds with Parmesan cheese, sushi, salad, meat skewers, a croquette, bao, Marinera.
Price: I thought it was great value for the quality of food and the place. 25-35 per person with a lot of food, drinks...
Read moreMercado de Correos is one of my favourite places to eat in Murcia. Their theme is very creative, with twelve unique kitchens, each catering to different types of cuisine. Kitchen choices include the butchers shop, fish market, Japanese, burger joint, Italian, charcuterie, Chinese, Murcian etc. As such, there is a huge range of choices, but thankfully, the extensive menu is easy to navigate. The menu is organised by kitchen type, and you can add what you like to the notes (online feature).
We ordered several dishes and were delighted with each. Very high quality, large portions, and quick service.
The seating was very comfortable, and the tables were well spaced. The restaurant is beautifully laid out with artistic ceiling pieces.
The staff are friendly and provide a very prompt service. They were very considerate and were mindful of ensuring our food arrived in the right order.
We've visited Correos four times over two years, and they've been...
