We stayed here as a treat after working the non-stop since January. The location was great! The hotel was impressive and we were given a free upgrade which was very much appreciated! The Roooftop Pool area was nice but limited space. The infinity pool was cool and refreshing but could get very busy at times. The jacuzzi wasn't working. The views were stunning! The restaurent & bar are nicely set out and the offering at breakfast is good. Service in the hotel is professional too. The downsides are that in our room the air conditioning wasn't working properly (or it was switched off during the night?). We asked for a fan but didn't get one. To be fair staff did come to check and offered to swap our rooms but it was 3/4am in the morning. A bit of polava for the simple request of a fan. In the Rooftop Bar, the cocktails lists 'Expresso Martini' when the drink is called 'Espresso Martini'. When the Espresso Martini came it had no suger, vanilla, or sweetness. I raised this with the waiter who explained they make it with coffee, vodka and Tia Maria, nothing else. As I work in hospitality I challenged this. Any and all recipes I know and have checked since include sugar syrup and vanilla. The waiter however was profressional and allowed me to change cocktail without any further charge. Note that it was half hour before closing. On balance the experience was comfortable and relaxing. I would have given 5 stars but for the points above, however, I will be back in the future. We had a...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Catalonia Ronda and was thoroughly impressed by its exceptional location and array of amenities.

Nestled in the heart of Ronda, this hotel boasts a prime spot for exploring the city's historic treasures. With the iconic Puente Nuevo just a stone's throw away and the charming cobblestone streets of the old town within easy walking distance, Catalonia Ronda offers unparalleled convenience for sightseeing and immersing oneself in the local culture.

Moreover, the amenities provided by the hotel surpassed my expectations. The rooftop pool and terrace offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the dramatic gorge below, providing the perfect setting for relaxation and unwinding after a day of exploration. The fitness center is well-equipped, allowing guests to maintain their workout routines while traveling.

Additionally, the rooms are tastefully decorated and offer modern comforts, ensuring a comfortable stay. The attentive staff members further enhance the experience with their warm hospitality and helpful recommendations for dining and activities in the area.

Overall, Catalonia Ronda exceeded my expectations with its superb location and top-notch amenities. Whether you're visiting Ronda for leisure or business, this hotel provides the perfect base for an unforgettable stay in this enchanting...

From a 5-star check-in experience at the front desk on arrival for our 2-day stay to a fond farewell experience on check-out, our annual trip to Hotel Catalonia Ronda did not disappoint. We cannot recommend this property highly enough after several stays in this beautiful historic city. The location of the hotel placing it right in the centre of the town makes it perfect to access all the historic sites and incredible authentic tabernas and restaurants. Its own rooftop gastrobar and Restaurante Panorámico offer delicious views over Spain's oldest bullring and the setting sun.

Suggestion to Catalonia Hotels: Catalonia also operates the nearby 4-star Catalonia Reina Victoria. We cannot recommend highly enough the gorgeous terraza of its Restaurante Azahar for dinner - a truly magical experience at sunset. We have dined here many times, both when staying at Catalonia Reina Victoria and at Hotel Catalonia Ronda. A suggestion for both hotels would be a private car transfer service between the two, so residents could enjoy the experience of dining at both. On two occasions now we have experienced problems getting a taxi from one to the other, simply because Ronda is a quiet city after sunset. Residents would be very happy to pay for a transfer service as an enhancement to their...

I would rate this hotel as 5 star gem in a pile of ordinary hotel stones. Currently I’m on a 5 week trip through Spain and this is the first hotel that is 100% organized with elegant rooms and superb service. From check in, easy/correct parking information, to as pictured room. Also they are knowledgeable in tourist attractions, trips, give precise easy map and correct parking directions. Even stated what to see first with weather patterns noted, as it can get scattered showers toward evenings so we’re told to see bridge and outlook first when arriving. Having been to other cities with not stellar hotel experiences/Spain…this hotel is a dream! Sorry to rave but having a nice reception desk is so important and this hotel excels at it. I feel welcome and valued. Having just spent time in Valencia, Alicante and Granada hotels all of which lacked ability to direct to sites/parking etc …/ Ronda is by far superior. Also a welcome Prosecco rooftop view drink, overlooking the bull fighting ring, with stunning Mountain Views is stellar. Five stars! Highly recommend.

Thoroughly recommend this hotel it is excellent and is the best place to stay in Ronda. It is right in the centre, opposite the bull ring and a very short walk to the Puente Nuevo. Everything is within easy reach. The rooms are superb. We were upgraded to a junior suite with a pool. It was a beautiful room with great views over the rooftops of Ronda. It was a lovely clean and modern room with a massive bathroom. The rooftop pool area was also excellent with an infinity pool looking out directly into the bull ring. The food in the restaurant and bar was also excellent with a great selection for breakfast including freshly made eggs , omelettes, bacon, fruit, cereals, yoghurts etc. we ate in the roof top bar with the amazing view of the bull ring below. The food was very good. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and attentive. Parking is a little away from the hotel but the porter will show you where to go and help with bags.
