Plaza Breeze — Restaurant in San Miguel de Abona

Where to start. Originally went looking for Fifty Five Tenerife, unfortunately this has closed down. Was persuaded to try the place by the girl outside. Menu looked reasonable so gave it a try. Ordered drinks, and started looking through the very confusing menu. One page was €10.95 for main and desert and 2 sides, next page was €12.95 for the same thing with 2 sides. We then ordered the food, a meat lasagne and a veg lasagne, we enquired about the sides and was told the garlic bread stated next to it was the sides. Service was very Slow, and food was OK. Plates were cleared, wasn't asked if we'd like more drinks. Waited an eternity to get the desert menu, still no offer of more drinks. One desert arrived, followed by 2 more a few minutes later. The last arrived when everyone else had finished. And still no one asked if we wanted anymore drinks. We asked for the bill and left leaving no tip. Wouldn't recommend and...

Got approached by a staff member pushing a flyer and giving us the hard sell as we were passing by looking for a place to eat. Looked at the flyer around the corner and remarkably found something for all of our fussy family on the 3 course set menu option (€12.50/person) and thought it might end up being a relatively affordable option so gave it a try.

As it turned out, it was the most expensive meal of our 2 week holiday, once you added on the overpriced soft drinks, a couple of basic sides, the tax (which most other restaurants include in their prices) and tip. Although the food was passable, it was fairly basic and the portions were somewhat on the small side, especially the desserts. We were left waiting the best part of 20-30 minutes for the latter also.

Can't say how the experience is for a la carte dining here, but I can't recommend the set...

Food lovely as always, service atrocious!! Waited for 40 mins just to take drinks order when I saw 5 other tables seated after us having their orders taken. Then, brought wrong drinks twice and wrong food. When the bill came, upon the mere fact that I mentioned this to the waiter I was treated to a tirade of being called rude....very big shame as I have been coming here for many years and the atmosphere is changed and I'm sure racist as my mixedbrace teenage children were the only people there of darker skin other than all the other white customers...
