My honest review of this hotel- we stayed at Ushuaia Towers. They have many properties. Tower property being the middle one and on the left hand Beach Hotel where they have their main club. On the other side they have Hard Rock resort which is family resort, whereas Ushuaia is Adults only.
Location- very close to airport, takes about 10 minutes via taxi and costs 11-13 euros. Plenty of taxis available. No need to worry as when we were booking, thought of booking something on arrival which was costing 180 euros 😳 hotel reception can call the taxi if you ask them which takes a minute the most for them to arrive at the door. Hi-Ibiza club is a minute walk from the hotel so convenient if you are planning to go there. Small market close by where few restaurants and shops are available. About 15-20 minutes drive to the old town and Pacha club. Equally 10-15 minutes drive to Amnesia club on the other side.
Party scenes- ofcourse that’s why you are here right? So they usually have parties organized in their Beach resort- beautiful scenes- big stage with pool in the middle. Party started at 1pm I think and ends at 11pm, because then you go to Hi-Ibiza or other clubs after for the main event. Entry to this party is free if you are staying here. Others have to buy tickets. Plus main benefit you can go out as many times you want but if you have bought a ticket you won’t be allowed to come back if you decide to leave.
Rooms- comfortable. However few downsides: very noisy- no soundproofing, especially in the morning when you’re trying to sleep, constant loud noises coming from planes taking off every 5 minutes 🤯 Not enough facilities- no iron in the room, no hair dryer. They don’t even provide a bottle of water, you have to buy everything. Although they said soft drinks will be complementary but then rules vary inside the hotel, we never had anything free!
Beach- right on the beach, hotel has their own sun loungers and restaurant on the beach.
Pool- Average. Very small, just for relaxing. However they have sometime DJ’s playing tunes and often performer’s comes for wee shows.
Crowd- don’t expect any young crowd as they can’t afford expensive places 😜 but mixture of mid age to old.
Service/staff- very helpful and courteous. They were all...
Read moreI will start this review by mentioning that I was not sure if I should give this hotel 3 or 4 stars but decided that I would stick with 4.
PROS - Hotel is close and convenient to the airport as well as a lot of shops, restaurants, beach, and nightlife. Staying at the hotel gives you access to the Ushuaia Beach Club parties for free (which saves us a lot and is a great perk considering they have so many different events). The pool in the tower area is amazing. We loved it and were able to get two sun beds easily when we came downstairs. The food and drinks at the pool bar were good.
CONS - Unfortunately the service was subpar. Upon arrival (after 3PM, our room wasn’t ready). No biggie. We called asking about laundry service, no call back. We were asked if we wanted extra towels and when we came back to the room no one had brought any. We left early in the morning so housekeeping could come and clean and at 5 PM when we were going back to the room is when they asked us if they could clean. I understand they can get backed up but unfortunately that time did not work for us as we left it open to be cleaned since the early morning. Mini bar prices are absolutely ridiculous. We bought our own alcohol outside of the hotel (aside from what we consumed at the pool bar), and I guess upon checkout, whoever cleaned the room the one day confused the champagne we brought from a champagne that was in the mini bar that we never touched and we ended up getting charged for something we did not consume. We only consumed some chocolate, a red bull, and water. Water is about 7euros. Upon checkout, the front desk was able to fix this for us by compensating the late checkout we paid for which was until 3PM.
Overall, the hotel is what it is. It’s fun, hip, attracts what you are looking for, and allows you to party all in once. Ibiza is expensive overall and we don’t regret staying in the hotel because aside from the service itself, everything else was great.
We would stay here again in the future but we do hope management resolves some of these issues for future guests to fully enjoy this hotel and all it...
Read moreMy friends and I were warmly welcomed on arrival. The man who checked us in was a friendly man. My friends and I had reserved a "Party All Night Long Room" for two nights in advance. However, the friendly man tried to sell us a non-existent upgrade on behalf of his colleague. All rooms on the ground floor are "Party All Night Long Rooms". Three of these rooms were available on arrival. One of the three rooms had a slightly better position, but it is still a "Part All Night Long Room". This room we were only allowed to have when we paid €1500, - extra (we had already paid €1900, -). Very associate! The room that he tried to sell us is not to be found at all as another room on the booking site. He probably tries this at all three parties (there were still three rooms available) and when nobody upgraded assuming, the party that arrives last gets a room with a better position.
I understand that the public areas are not very clean because there is a party every day. Only that my room was not clean was disappointing. The power also fell out several times a day.
The pool that is on the outside of the club building left the kit or paint from it. After I got out of the pool, I had a white stripe on my swimsuit. When I reported this to the reception, this was immediately resolved. My swimsuit was cleaned. My compliments for solving!
The breakfast was really excellent! the choice was very spacious and everything tasted fantastic!
As a guest of the hotel you can make free use of the beach beds including parasol and beach towels. Very nice! The beach beds are good!
The festivities on Ushuaïa are super! If you plan to book a room on the ground floor with a terrace, I would think well. A very nice additional advantage is that you can place your own drinks from outside in your hotel room. In the future, I would rather book a VIP table and then sleep...
