Our experience at Ammos was extremely disappointing, especially considering its upscale image and prices.
Food: The food presentation was attractive, but the quality and portion size left a lot to be desired. We ordered a rack of lamb — typically 7-8 ribs served whole — but received just four unevenly cut individual cutlets. Worse still, two of them were raw inside. Not pink or medium-rare — raw. We pointed this out to the staff, and while they responded quickly, the solution was completely unacceptable: they returned the exact same plate of food, reheated.
This raises serious food safety concerns. Once a dish has been served to a customer, reheating and re-serving it — rather than preparing a fresh one — violates basic food hygiene best practices. It increases the risk of cross-contamination and does not guarantee that dangerous bacteria (like Salmonella or E. coli) are properly eliminated. Professional kitchens are expected to discard improperly cooked food and serve a freshly prepared replacement, especially when undercooked meat is involved.
Service: The service was inconsistent. Some staff were friendly, but others seemed distracted and unprofessional. The way the food issue was handled made it worse — there was no real apology or accountability.
Ambience: The setting is stylish and the beachfront view is lovely, but it can’t make up for the poor execution in the kitchen.
Verdict: Ammos looks the part but fails to deliver on the basics. Overpriced, underwhelming, and questionable food handling practices made this a place we cannot recommend. Ibiza has plenty of excellent dining options — this isn’t...

From the moment I arrived at Ammos, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for a truly wonderful evening. The inviting ambiance and tasteful decor created a perfect setting for enjoying a delicious meal.
The food at Ammos was absolutely outstanding—each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The octopus was especially delicious, perfectly tender with just the right amount of seasoning, and it melted in my mouth. The calamari was incredibly fresh, lightly battered and cooked to crispy perfection—it was a real highlight of the meal. Every bite showcased the chef’s skill and dedication to quality.
What truly impressed me was the exceptional service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to ensure we had the best experience possible. Their recommendations were spot-on, and they made us feel truly valued throughout our visit.
Overall, Ammos is a gem that offers wonderful, delicious food paired with top-notch service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I can’t...
Read moreIn 21 years of going to Ibiza this place has to be the worst for their attitude and arrogance. We ordered rack of lamb which was served almost raw. When we raised it to the staff they took away the dish and cooked it further and brought the same dish back to us rather than preparing it again from scratch. We didn’t eat it, asked for the bill and paid for what we had ate and drank then left. To make matters worse the staff member who came back out with the reheated dish became confrontational asking us ‘what’s our problem’ and telling us ‘this is how things are done is Spain’ like we’ve never ate in a restaurant before. We like our lamb pink, just not raw!! I’ve visited many restaurants and many Michelin star restaurants (see my other reviews) and know how food should be served, I don’t require an aggressive waiter attempts to be condescending towards the customer when our complaint was valid. The restaurant has now emailed us privately saying that in Spain this is how we eat lamb, to which I’ve replied I like mine pink too just not raw! Absolutely ridiculous place, staff and attitude. Don’t...
