Minami Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Sant Josep de sa Talaia

Sadly I cannot rate the food because we had a bad experience with the service in this restaurant. Me and my friend came yesterday evening at 10 pm, we waited 10 minutes at the counter to be able to talk to a waiter and ask for a table. The counter stands in the middle of the restaurant where at least 4 waiters passed multiple times in front of us and ignored us. After waiting those 10 minutes a waitress noticed us and came to give us information : “for now I have no table but come back in half an hour”. We came back, and again 10 minutes standing in the middle of the restaurant, ignored by all waiters including the one that told us to come later. We left. We have never experienced this in a “fancy” restaurant before. We were really disappointed, as we were planning to enjoy the food in this restaurant. Sadly the reputation of a restaurant includes the quality of the food of course, but also...

We bought tickets to Hï, and Clubtickets offered us an add-on dinner at Minami. 15 pieces of sushi and a glass of wine for 32 euro a person is a pretty decent value on the playa, so we went with it. Wow...the sushi was creative and of a good quality, and the service was quick. We decided to stay for dessert and an extra cocktail, as this is one of the few places we'd seen creative cocktails offered. The desserts, a chocolate mousse with yuzu sorbet and a sort of matcha and white chocolate lava cake, were outstanding, and the drinks were balanced and made with care. We came to Ibiza just for a few days and what a jewelry we have found the very first day we arrived after Kygo, that we were coming on this place every single one! Such friendly and professional staff, great atmosphere, amazing food! I would give more stars if I could. Food quality was over the moon, sushi incredible, and we tried the station as you enter on the left, great chef, full of energy, happy, funny, amazing energy, we loved his tricks, genuinely nice, same for the blonde waiter & as the rest of the staff ! I would say the Spanish (?) lady with the black hair as hostess on the cashier doesn't have the same vibe, she seems quite moody.
