A Chic and Delightful Evening at Tatel Ibiza I had a truly delightful experience at Tatel Ibiza. We decided to dine on a quiet Thursday night, a decision that added a serene and peaceful ambiance to our dining experience. Despite the restaurant not being overly crowded, the energy and charm were palpable, leaving an impression of exclusivity and intimacy. The service was indeed commendable. Our servers were attentive, efficient, and contributed significantly to our pleasant evening. Their attentive service ensured a smooth dining experience from start to finish. As for the food, while the menu was not extensive, it focused on quality over quantity. The cocktails, in particular, deserve a special mention. They were quite strong, demonstrating a generous hand with the spirits, and were expertly mixed, creating a perfect balance of flavors that enhanced the overall dining experience. The decor at Tatel Ibiza is truly mesmerizing. It skillfully intertwines chic design with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, making you feel both stylish and comfortable simultaneously. The design and the attention to detail add an extra layer of charm to the place, making the dining experience more than just about the food. To add to the overall ambiance, there was a DJ who did an incredible job of creating a lively yet relaxing atmosphere with an excellent selection of house music. The music added a beautiful, rhythmic background to our evening and uplifted the vibe of the restaurant. In conclusion, Tatel Ibiza offers a unique dining experience - it's a place where good food, great service, strong cocktails, and captivating decor come together, backed by the inviting tunes of house music. Whether you're looking for a peaceful dinner or a chic night out, this place should be high on your list.

Our dinner at Tatel in Ibiza was overall a wonderful experience with a few hiccups worth noting. The ambiance and music were absolutely perfect, setting a comfortable and elegant tone for our party of eight. The service was attentive and friendly, though the flow of the evening felt a bit rushed once larger parties arrived, likely due to staffing and timing issues. The food was the highlight of the night, with several standout dishes that I’d highly recommend: • Burrata with honey and lavender – a must-try. Creamy, rich, and beautifully balanced with floral notes. • Truffled omelet – the star of the meal. Cooked to perfection with layers of flavor and depth. • Garlic shrimp – delicious, with just the right touch of spice. • Hand-cut Wagyu ham – melt-in-your-mouth and full of character. • Large macaroni with truffle and porcini mushroom sauce – al dente, earthy, and indulgent. • Lobster and caviar pasta – luxurious and well-prepared, with lobster pieces that complemented the dish perfectly. Other dishes were enjoyable but less memorable: • Duck ham salad – light and fresh, though not particularly standout. • Savory rice with prime beef chop – flavorful traditional rice, but the beef chops were slightly overcooked (medium-well). • Grilled rack of lamb – cooked to medium but lacked the bold seasoning one might expect. • Salmon – nicely prepared and consistent, though not as distinctive as some other plates. Overall, Tatel Ibiza is worth visiting for its atmosphere and several truly exceptional dishes. If the pacing of service can be smoothed out during busy nights, it has the potential to deliver a seamless fine-dining experience

At first glance, the restaurant makes a pleasant impression with its beautiful sea view and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, that impression doesn’t last long. Upon entering, the staff immediately start reminding you that you can only stay for two hours. We understand that this is the restaurant’s policy, but why repeat it several times, without a smile and in such a strict manner? The biggest disappointment, however, was the quality of the food. The “Russo” salad, advertised with Kamchatka crab and black caviar, was drowned in store-bought mayonnaise with only tiny traces of crab and barely visible caviar. Absolutely tasteless and unappealing — I do not recommend it. The paella was another failure: having lived in Spain for many years, I have never had a worse paella. The rice was bitter, poorly cooked, and the meat was inedible — a complete disappointment. The fish baked in salt was fresh, but far from the quality it should have been: not juicy at all, even though it is usually hard to ruin such a dish. Overall, my rating is a 2 out of 5 for the price-to-quality ratio. The restaurant simply does not meet expectations. The only positive note was our waiter, who was polite and did his best to ensure that our anniversary dinner wasn’t completely ruined.

We recently visited Tatel Ibiza as a group of 20 to celebrate two birthdays. The atmosphere and most of the food were truly enjoyable, no complaints on the culinary front. However, what unfortunately stood out most was the consistently poor service, which left a sour taste on what should have been a celebratory evening.

One of our friends was feeling unwell and asked if the kitchen might be able to prepare something simple like a broth or a light soup. The response from our waiter was not only dismissive but unnecessarily rigid. He flatly refused to even ask the kitchen, stating that he had worked there for four years and knew nothing could be made outside the menu. Beyond that, he proceeded to make unnecessary comments about how our friend reacted to another staff member - behavior that was both unprofessional and inappropriate.

Another member of our group provided polite, constructive feedback on the burger, which arrived rare instead of medium-rare and had a rather processed texture. The intention was not to complain or request compensation, but simply to help improve the dish for future guests. Unfortunately, the waiter reacted defensively and stated, “That’s just how it is in Spain,” suggesting the feedback was misplaced and should have come earlier.

As someone working in the luxury hospitality industry myself, I was genuinely surprised by the lack of guest focus and the inability to handle basic service requests or feedback gracefully. In any five-star setting, such behavior would be completely unacceptable. Hospitality should be about flexibility, empathy, and professionalism - none of which were demonstrated by our server that evening.

So all in all, the place offered mostly great food and a lovely ambiance, but the service needs serious attention. A restaurant of this caliber should aim to make guests feel welcome, not dismissed. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback to heart and invests in training their staff to reflect the standards the brand...
