Pilgrims if you're looking for a place to stay in a great location check out here! I timed it and took me 6 minutes to walk from the Intermodal bus/train station. The bus to and from the airport is on the main street right in front of the station. There's a decent mini market on the corner of the street. It's not far from many restaurants and if you want to go to the torusity areas it's about a 10 minute walk. We enjoyed not paying tourist prices for goods and restaurants. The room was nice and comfortable. We had a room with a balcony and it overlooked the city. The building has an elevator to make going to upper floors easy. The kitchen had a coffee maker, microwave and stovetop. There's a full size refrigerator. The bed was comfortable. There was a fan in our room and we didn't need any AC. The windows open created a nice breeze inside the room. Just careful when closing the door cuz it could slam and wake up the other guests. The bathroom shower had great water pressure and was very hot. This was a great place to stay at the end of our Camino...
Read moreWe spent a few days here and overall; it was a pleasant experience but could have been better. Firstly, all contact with the people who run the hotel was via WhatsApp, there was no other way of contacting them such as a phone number or email. This proved to be a very limited way of doing things as if you don't have access to a data plan or a smart phone you will have difficulties dealing with them. The rooms on offer are very big but lack air conditioning and a phone, they do not have en-suite bathrooms either, so you have to share with other residents, again this can prove to be an issue when all the rooms are occupied. The shared kitchen is well appointed and fully equipped. For the price, its good value, but just don't expect as much luxuries as other hotels. it's also very close to the main Santiago train station and bus stop to the airport, this proved to be...
Read moreBooked through booking.com. Chose the payment on arrival. But the money was taken 3 days before the arrival. The check in is ridiculous. A series of codes are sent to your phone just before 4pm. The check in time is far too late for people completing the Camino. The owners can only be contacted via WhatsApp, they don’t live in Santiago. There is no aircon and a huge window collecting all the sun light . It was like a sauna. We contacted the owners but they weren’t interested in providing a solution. We were supposed stay for more than one night, but we left without a refund and found somewhere normal. The only accommodation on the camino without a single...
