Great view of the resort & sea from our balcony. We had a 5th floor 1 bed apartment with hot tub. ||Room was very good. Newly appointed kitchen with all amenities you don’t always get on a self catering holiday! Fridge/freezer, dish washer, washing machine, full oven, hob & combo/microwave plus a Nespresso machine! ||Spacious bathroom with WC, bidet, bath, shower and basin. ||Bedroom ok but could do with more storage & no aircon or tv in room. Bed a bit on the hard side. ||Open plan lounge/kitchen/breakfast bar.sofa bed, a bit worn and not in A1 condition but lounge has a Bluetooth smart speaker yiu can connect your phone to for all your music requirements. ||Smart tv with Netflix, Amazon, Disney & YouTube apps. All my UK log in’s worked. |No Sky, no football, no log in for Discovery+ etc & no local or international cable/terrestrial channels so no BBC World of CNN etc. ||Aircon in lounge & mood coloured lighting to rear patio door. ||Terrace spacious. Table & chairs, 3 sun loungers, space to dry clothes, outside shower, retractable sun canopy, hot tub with steps & decking area.||Good but bit overlooked & not as private as one might like. To the left of us we could hear our neighbours music & smell what they were smoking (and they weren’t Marlboro’s!) and to our right you could hear our female neighbour enjoying her male company in the hot tub a bit too clearly! ||We stayed on a half board basis. Buffet style breakfast & dinner. Couldn’t really fault the staff. Food ok, plenty of choice, nothing special but perfectly acceptable. ||Evening meals, themed nights, food ok, reasonable choice, not always quickly or fully replenished. ||Drinks reasonably priced., can’t complain & epic view of sunset. Approx 8:20pm in August. ||Evening entertainment pretty dreadful, some nights awful but funny. Really nothing for kids. Evening shows started approx 9:30pm & lasted around 45 mins. Happy hour in Imperial bar 8:30-9:30pm but just 1 bar person & service a bit slow with barman making countless cocktails & more finishing touches than Rowan Atkinsons character in Love Actually!||Pools ok but only open from 10am & closed 7pm. Generally no issue getting a sun lounger. Pool side entertainment/games/music a bit hit and miss. Kids club but rarely staffed & very little in there.||Housekeeping & cleaning a bit hit & miss. Irregular hours & attention to detail with room clean. Some days it was literally just an emptied bin & clean towels||Was a bit of an unpleasant drain/effluent smell on terrace but public WAC’s well maintained. |Did see a cockroach in main reception lobby/bar area. Staff aware, non pluses about it! ||Was our honeymoon, no special touches in the room etc but did get a comp bottle of fizz sent to the rom on 2nd day after TUI rep mentioned it to hotel.||Location, great view but a steep walk to resort centre. 0.6 miles from hotel to marina but steep! €5 each way in a cab. ||Not a huge amount in resort centre, pleasant & we weren’t looking for anything loud or commercial but if you’re a young couple you might struggle for nightlife and if travelling with kids, you may struggle with things to do. ||Weather generally good but be aware, clouds often form on the top of the cliffs so some days were pretty cloudy/overcast until 1-2pm whilst other properties lower down would have had longer and earlier bouts of unbroken sunshine. ||Booked it over a year in advance, was really looking forward to it. We’ve had a nice time but it wasn’t a WOW. Don’t think we’d return to be honest. It wasn’t a cheap holiday so expectations were pretty high but it just didn’t cut...

Pros: All rooms have an amazing view on the sea & village Good standards rooms very spacious with XXL terraces with sunbeds and a table with chairs Kitchens are well equipped with everything you need in terms of appliances (toaster, kettle, microwave, oven, hob with extractor, big fridge/freezer) Everything is clean and well maintained The swimming pools are very nice and relaxing. And you have plenty of sunbeds around (enough for everyone) You can get pool/beach towels against a 10€ deposit (no need to bring your own) Breakfast is nice and good quality with freshly baked pancakes and omelettes You can get a car park space allocation in their indoor car park (only accessible with a badge). But spots are limited (~25 in total) If you need to leave early in the morning or want to have breakfast after 10AM (when breakfast is closing) you can ask for a "picnic" bag the day before and the staff will give you food to replace the breakfast. It's pretty basic but very useful (especially when you have a very early flight like us)
Cons: When we arrived we discovered that the road in front of the hotel was in renovation with many bulldozers. We didn't receive/see any warning about that when booking. Even at check-in they didn't mention it. The only information given was on a paper at the lift (see picture attached). On top of that we have been given a room which was the closest to the road. And from 8.30AM every mornings we could hear the machine/tools digging/breaking pavements. While this was something the hotel couldn't avoid, communication could have been MUCH better to help customers. During our stay (mid-June) we saw dozens of small insects (same type) on the walls. It really seem like something related to specific period and climate (like for flying ants). We called the reception who sent a member of staff who explained us it was some insects which were eating the wooden furniture and she sprayed some "human-friendly" insecticide in the room. Which did the job. To accommodate space/organisation, you have to choose between 2 time slots for your breakfast: 8AM-9AM or 9AM-10AM. And if you want to switch on one day you have to tell them in advance the day before (and not several days before!) Corridors can be very noisy as they are designed like "caves" between the mountain and the rooms. And the entrance doors are not really noise insolating. You cannot drink tap water in Tenerife. We got a 1.5L water bottle when checking in. But then nothing which is a bit cheap for a 4* hotel. No coffee/tea in the room. Again a bit cheap for a 4* hotel While the breakfast was very nice overall, there were not enough variations to my taste. Except for 2-3 items it was pretty much the same stuff for 90% of the items The swimming pool closes at 7PM which is a bit early to my taste (9-10PM...
Read moreJust back from a week's stay at this hotel with my husband and 2 teenage sons. Our room (104) was very clean and we loved the spacious balcony. The aircon is only in the main living area, not the bedroom, and was so loud. The unit outside on the balcony sounded like it was about to take off! I overheard a couple complaining about their noisy aircon to reception. Given that the night's weren't super hot, we were able to turn the aircon off overnight and get some sleep. If this was the height of summer, I wouldn't have been able to cope with the noise and would have complained. As others have said, the decor is a bit dated and could do with a spruce up, that goes for the entertainment room/small bar area. The pool is ok, but at the height of the season I can see it being inadequate. For the amount of people, it should be bigger, or there should be a second pool. The weekend we were there was heaving! Lots of Spanish/locals. They were great fun and friendly but it meant the pool was rammed. Sardines in a tin comes to mind.||Now onto the positives. We stayed B&B and I'm so glad we did because there are some lovely, very reasonably priced restaurants in the town, which is a 10-15 minute walk away. We loved theTipsy Terrace and Jardin de Sol for spectacular food and service. We also did a Lidl shop and got some essentials. We always walked back to the hotel, which was an effort if you are as unfit as me! But I felt like I was burning off some of the calories. Others have said that a taxi back from town is only €4/€5. We hired a car for 2 days and went to Los Cristianos. The beach there was nice, with lots of places to eat and drink. We also did Siam Park and I have to say, despite the rave reviews, we felt robbed. It cost over £200 in total for the four of us, including food and we only went on 1 ride. The wait was 90 minutes. I spoke to a woman who paid €38 pp for fast passes on top of the €44 entry fee and still waited 45 mins for one slide. The wave pool was great and we did about 5 go's on the lazy river (Mai Thai). It was a nice day but not worth the money in my opinion.||Now to the hotel... Maids come daily if you want. We didn't need them to come every day but if you want them to clean/change towels daily, they will. The breakfasts were really nice. There is a lot of choice and something for everyone. My only concern is whether you could get a table during peak season. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and they always seem to smile, which makes such a difference. Special shoutout to Diego. He made the days around the pool so much fun. He was inclusive without being pushy. Honestly, the kids and adults loved him. I hope the hotel owners/managers know what a catch they've got with him!||All in all, we had a great time and would likely come back...
