We celebrated my birthday in Seville and chose this hotel because of the location, service & history of the property. We received a warm welcome (even though we arrived a few hours earlier than the original check in time), a quick check in, a short tour of the rooms on the ground floor and an explanation of activities in the city. We were supposed to receive notification when our room would be ready, unfortunately we did not receive this notification. In the meantime, we enjoyed our time in the old town.
We had booked a premium room and got a view of the courtyard garden and enjoyed the sunrise every morning with a cup of tea on the sofa with 2 French doors towards the garden. Unfortunately, the room layout was illogical so the transition from the lounge to the bedroom felt cramped. The doors and bathroom walls could use a deep cleaning and there was unfortunately no extraction in the bathroom. It would have been practical if there were several hooks for bathrobes as well as towels in the bathroom. Otherwise, the room felt very clean and the cleaners were very attentive and friendly. Several pillows were brought which we were allowed to use throughout our stay. Tea, coffee & water were refilled several times in a day and we were given a small treat from the region every day: chocolates, marzipan, orange wine etc. these were nice surprises that you look forward to after a long day exploring the city.
The spa room in the basement of the property was great, it was very clean, there was mood lighting and even candles. You receive towels, a bottle of water and explanations about the spa room from a staff member who is present at all times and happy to help you with all your needs during this experience.
We also used the gym room, this room was functionally equipped with enough equipment for an athletic routine. It was clean and there was also a fridge with bottled water, you could adjust the air conditioning independently.
One small detail that would have made it nicer was if someone from the staff could have wished me a happy birthday, details like this complete the experience in my opinion. Nonetheless, the cocktails on the rooftop terrace were delicious and you have a nice view of the old town there with the Seville cathedral, Alcazar etc. which, by the way, is only a 14-minute walk from the hotel. There are 2 grocery shops & bakeries nearby.
We would specially like to thank the cleaners and porters for the great service and their friendly smiles during this experience. We loved the...
Read moreCheck-in - the experience is superb. Very professional staff handled my car, my check-in, and the luggages. We were offered a nice cool welcome drink as well. It was smooth and quick. They have a valet parking services which charge you 30 euro a night.
The Room - My room is located in another building where I had to walked across the Andalusian patio and there is only one room on each floor. There is a large private outdoor sunbathing area right outside our room (we didn't use it at all cause it was too hot during our stay). The room is of a good size with a huge bed, a sofa, a coffee table, a working table and pretty much occupied all the space. the toilet and the shower place is separated with a velvet curtain giving the room a chic touch. the shower is huge.
Location - the hotel is located outside the centre of the town, but it is within a walkable distance to all the tourist places (around 10 to 20 mins). I enjoyed our daily walk in and out the old town.
There is one thing I am really not happy about - the make up room services. On the second day of our stay, we went out at around 930am, and as usual we put the "please make up room" sign out. We came back at around 12noon and the room was undone, which is fine. So we stayed in the room for siesta and put a "DND" sign out. In the middle of our nap, the cleaning lady knocked on our door asking if we want to clean our room. We said NO, LATER PLEASE, and made sure the "DND" sign is still on. Later that evening when we head out again at around 130pm, we put out the make-up room sign again, and specifically told the reception that we need our room cleaned. We came back at 4pm, the room is still undone. This is quite frustrating. (we even found a card underneath the door saying we put out a DND sign so no cleaning has been done to our room, which was a lie).
Anyway, my 2-night stay at this lux hotel was ok, but for that price, I could have been happier staying at other lux hotel in Seville with...
Read moreI had such an incredible stay at CoolRooms Palacio Villapanés in Seville. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, gracious, and genuinely helpful. I requested a room change—not because anything was wrong, but simply due to lighting and layout preferences—and they accommodated me with such kindness and care. That alone made a lasting impression.||The design of the hotel is thoughtful and elegant. Small details, like Molton Brown toiletries in glass bottles, elevated the experience in subtle but meaningful ways. The food was delicious, and the bed—what a dream! After a few sleepless nights in Menorca due to an overly firm mattress, I was beyond grateful for the comfort of the bed at CoolRooms. I finally slept deeply and woke up feeling rested.||The location is also a huge plus—centrally situated, walking distance to nearly everything in Seville’s historic heart.||The only hiccup in an otherwise wonderful stay came at the very end. On my last morning, I stopped in for a quick breakfast before heading to the train station. The staff told me it was included, so I helped myself. But during checkout, I was surprised to find a €35 charge for it. I would’ve appreciated clearer communication, especially since I’ve stayed at hotels like Palacio de los Duques in Madrid where a full gourmet breakfast—including à la carte orders—is genuinely included. It was a bit of an unfortunate note to end on, though it didn’t overshadow the overall quality of the stay.||Still, I would absolutely return and recommend CoolRooms to others. It’s a truly beautiful property with impeccable service...
